With her infamous scandal firmly in her past, Lori Loughlin could become “America’s Sweetheart” once again as the face of the TV network Great American Family. Previously, the network has picked up the rights to air Full House and Fuller House, both of which feature Loughlin in her memorable role as Aunt Becky. Meanwhile, her co-stars Candace Cameron Bure and Andrea Barber have already been working on new holiday movies for the network.
Speaking with Variety, Great American Family CEO says that his hope is to have Loughlin next start appearing on the network alongside her former co-stars. According to Abbott, there are ongoing talks with Loughlin about potential projects for her to be a part of, and while there hasn’t been anything officially greenlit yet, we’re getting very close to that point.

Lori Loughlin May Become a Mainstay at Great American Family
The relationship between Abbott and Loughlin is not new. Abbott previously served as CEO of Hallmark Media, he collaborated on Loughlin with 16 Garage Sale Mystery films for Hallmark Movies & Mysteries. She also starred in 56 episodes of When Calls the Heart. Of course, she wound up getting fired from the latter series for her role in the college admissions scandal of 2019. The actress served two months in prison for her crimes and has since resumed her acting career.
Despite the scandal, Abbott still feels that Loughlin has maintained her status as America’s sweetheart. She may have made a mistake, but for Abbott, the positivity she continues to bring both on and off-screen has made Great American Family committed to having her as a face of the network.
Loughlin officially made her return to acting by appearing in When Hope Calls, a spinoff of When Calls the Heart, for Great American Family. She reprised the role she had gotten fired from, though there are still no plans for her to return to Hallmark. That keeps her schedule open for these potential projects to be developed with Great American Family, so chances are that’s where we will be seeing the Full House and Fuller House star in the months and years ahead.
