The Jetsons is an animated sitcom following the antics of the titular family of the future, consisting of father George, wife Jane, daughter Judy, son Elroy, and their robot maid Rosey, and dog Astro. Originally airing on Sunday nights on ABC, The Jetsons initially ran for 24 episodes over a single season. But after its cancellation and shift to Saturday morning reruns, the show gained new popularity and success. This success gained the show two more seasons in 1985 and 1987. 1990 saw the premiere of Jetsons: The Movie, it was the last film to be directed by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera before their deaths in 2001 and 2006. It was also the final Jetsons production until 2017, when they starred in The Jetsons & WWE: Robo-WrestleMania!.
