The official trailer for the first half of Manifest season 4, the show’s upcoming final season at Netflix, has just been released. At Netflix’s fan event TUDUM, the trailer was first premiered before making its way online following a previous teaser that was released. You can now watch the trailer, featuring new footage of the final episodes, in the video below.
The final season of Manifest will consist of 20 episodes and it has been broken up into two parts. The series originally aired on NBC for three seasons though it grew in popularity when it was made available for streaming on Netflix. After NBC canceled the series, Netflix had initially passed on ordering a fourth season despite many calls from fans for them to do so. But continued viewership of the series on Netflix, along with a growing demand from fans in the online campaign for a renewal, ultimately had the streamer come back around to order a fourth and final season of the show.
“Since its premiere on Netflix in June, Manifest has proven very popular with our members,” Netflix’s Bela Bajaria previously said of the renewal. “Jeff Rake and his team have crafted a beguiling mystery that has viewers around the world on the edge of their seats and believing again in second chances, and we’re thrilled that they will bring fans some closure with this final super-sized season.”
Created by Jeff Rake, Manifest stars Melissa Roxburgh as Michaela Stone, Josh Dallas as Ben Stone, J. R. Ramirez as Jared Vasquez, Luna Blaise as Olive Stone, Parveen Kaur as Saanvi Bahl, Matt Long a Zeke Landon, Holly Taylor as Angelina Meyer, Ty Doran as Cal Stone, and Daryl Edwards as Robert Vance.
Questions Will Be Answered in Season 4
“The aftermath of that [season 3 finale] tragedy and how it has impacted every member of that family, their journey battling between desire for vengeance and attempting to get their head around the idea of forgiveness and healing is really at the center,” Rake previously told EW about what’s to come in the final episodes.
While one season may sound like that’s not enough time to effectively conclude the story, Rake is satisfied that the season had been broken up into two parts for 20 total episodes. For Rake, that makes this feel more like having two seasons to wrap everything up. Because it was treated this way, each of the two halves of season 4 will also feel like they are their own seasons.
“I’ve been treating it as two seasons. That is to say, we were gifted 20 episodes, which are being characterized to the world as Season 4, Part 1 [and] Season 4, Part 2,” Rake explained. “I just decided, for my purposes, that I was going to treat the story as if we had been gifted two 10-episode seasons.”
Manifest season 4 part 1 will premiere on Netflix on Nov. 4, 2022. The premiere date for part 2 has not yet been announced.
