There’s not going to be another Avengers without Tatiana Maslany’s She-Hulk. At least that’s what Mark Ruffalo has to say. The Avengers veteran and Bruce Banner/Hulk actor is reprising his role in the upcoming Disney+ original She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. The series will mark the debut of his cousin, Jennifer Walters, who becomes the superheroine She-Hulk after accidentally getting a transfusion with Bruce’s blood.
Maslany has been cast as Walters. Like other central Marvel Cinematic Universe characters, this wouldn’t be the only time she’ll appear as the six-feet-seven, green lawyer. Though no such intimations exist from Marvel Studios and Maslany, Ruffalo might have spilled the beans of potential She-Hulk casting in the Avengers movie. During She-Hulk: Attorney At Law’s red carpet event, Ruffalo and Maslany interacted with The Hollywood Reporter.

Maslany jokingly talked about how Jennifer is slightly superior to Bruce now that she is also a Hulk. When Ruffalo pointed out that it could be him having the upper hand there, Maslany said,
Maslany further asked Mark - “give me one year” [of being the Hulk] after Ruffalo has taken charge of the character for a decade. It was here when Ruffalo spilled some beans. He said,
Maybe her a little more — sometimes it’s more her, mostly. There’s a bias; there’s a slight bias. ‘Remember whose show this is’ — she says [that] in the show, I added that line because people were too interested in Mark, and I was, ‘No, we need to steer it back.
The statement kind of shocked Maslany, even sending her to gasp - What? to which Ruffalo replied,
All right, you can have a year. No, she’s in now; there’s not going to be another Avengers without her.
There is still time to determine how Jennifer Walters will be added to the Avengers, but it would be lovely to see two Hulks team up and face off with Kang the Conqueror and possibly Doctor Doom in the forthcoming Avengers films.
That’s what I’m hearing.
Marvel’s Next Avengers Outings Will Tend To Get Bigger?
Marvel Comics
In another statement, Mark Ruffalo revealed that Secret Wars should be more extensive than Avengers: Endgame. Avengers: Secret Wars will be the culmination of stories stretching in Phase Four, Five, and Six, collectively known as The Multiverse Saga. The two Avengers movies will release in 2025. Tatiana Maslany shall be an active part of the movie, but Marvel Studios haven’t released any official roster as of yet. Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings director Destin Daniel Cretton will direct Avengers: The Kang Dynasty.
From what comics tell us, The Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars will definitely be far bigger than Infinity War and Endgame as the multiverse and alternate realities will come into play, making the team far more expansive than ever.
Ruffalo is not new to spoiling things for Marvel Cinematic Universe movies. But this particular detail is something that everyone would definitely hope for. Avengers movies are about making big crossovers happen. And when the time comes for Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars, Maslany is meant to be there to portray Jennifer Walters again in some capacity.
She-Hulk: Attorney at Law streams on Disney+ from August 18.
