After his character had to deal with it in a movie, The Curse of Bridge Hollow star Marlon Wayans wanted others to know what it feels like to be confronted with Halloween decorations coming to life. With the family-friendly horror comedy film’s recent release on Netflix, Wayans was brought in by the streamer to take over a neighborhood Halloween store where he was set up in a control room unseen by customers. From there, he helped orchestrate “decorations” springing to life and going after customers, eliciting many screams and frights in the process.

Marlon Wayans Was a Father Figure on Set
Netflix
As seen in the above video, Marlon Wayans is someone who loves to make people laugh. His co-star Priah Ferguson spoke about how Wayans was always doing as much on the set in an interview with MovieWeb. Ferguson noted how Wayans served as a father figure to her in addition to playing her dad onscreen and that she was laughing at his jokes throughout the shoot.
“It was great working with Marlon,” Ferguson told us. “He gave me advice on and off set. He was cool and kind of like a father figure off set. We had really great chemistry. And the family as well, like with Kelly [Rowland] and the whole cast. We all had very great chemistry. [Marlon] was super funny, which I’m sure everyone knows that Marlon will make you laugh, and I was there to laugh at all his jokes, which was always great.”
Adding that it was always hard to keep a straight face when working with Wayans, Ferguson also said, “He would always kind of crack a joke. But I would try my best to hold myself together until after the director says “cut,” so that when the director says ‘cut,’ I could then let all my laughter out.”
The Curse of Bridge Hollow is now streaming on the Netflix app and at Netflix.com.
