Marvel fans are always on the lookout for the next connection in MCU movies and TV series, and despite Moon Knight seeming to be the most stand-alone entry in the franchise of Phase 4 there has been one aspect of the show that could well connect to Thor: Love and Thunder thanks to a shared connection around gods. Moon Knight writer Beau DeMayo has now addressed whether he knows if any of the gods of the series will also make appearances in this summer’s Marvel blockbuster. He told The Direct:

“You know, I don’t know what they are doing in [Thor: Love and Thunder]. My honest answer is ‘I don’t know’… You do have to wonder. I’m really excited to see it. You know, it’s a question on my mind. I’m like curious when I see Thor, like, ‘Is there going to be something? Is there not?’ That’s kind of like—well, that’s the thing at Marvel when you’re writing for them is that they’re very, very creatively collaborative, but you are kind of in your silo, your show. What I kind of like about that is, the moment I start knowing how the sausage is made on Thor, or something, I can’t enjoy that movie as a fan, you know? And I came out here to write Marvel stuff, honestly. So, I kind of like that I don’t know. I’m like trying to avoid spoilers myself [laughs]… It’s like the moment you learn how Starbucks coffee is made because you work there, suddenly Starbucks coffee is far less fancy to you.”

Thor: Love And Thunder Brings a Pantheon of Gods To The MCU

     Marvel Studios

While there is currently no word on where Marc Spector and Moon Knight will fit into the future of the MCU, the series is not going to be alone in featuring numerous gods. Thor: Love and Thunder obviously already has one god in its title character, but there are many more expected to feature in the July release. The teaser trailer has already revealed a first look at Russell Crowe as Zeus, and of course we already know the plot of the movie revolves on Gorr the God Butcher and his quest to rid the world of gods. That in itself suggests the involvement of many gods being included in name if nothing else. With so many Egyptian gods being introduced just prior to Thor’s cinematic return, Marvel could quite easily incorporate something from Moon Knight into the film.

MOVIEWEB VIDEO OF THE DAY

Fans waited a long time to see the first footage from Thor: Love and Thunder, and following the trailer dropping, many didn’t quite know what to make the footage. Of course, Marvel have two months to tease the movie, which arrives in the wake of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness which arrives in cinemas next week. It should be remembered that the first full trailer for the Doctor Strange sequel originally arrived with Spider-Man: No Way Home, and there is every possibility that the same could happen with Thor’s next preview.
