The finale of Ms. Marvel had a fair share of surprises and rounded off the series with Kamala Khan having come to terms with and fully embraced her powers. However, as well as being hinted that Kamala has some kind of mutation that her ancestors did not have, which continues to head towards the introduction of mutants to the MCU in the form of the X-Men, it was the post credit scene that finally delivered a big MCU cameo, but in a way that no one expected.

Once all was said and done in Ms. Marvel, the post credit scene saw Iman Vellani’s heroine lying on her bed before being reminded to do her science homework by her mother. Suddenly her bangle begins to glow and moments later Kamala is blown through her closet door and in the blink of an eye Captain Marvel stands in her place, looking around the room and running off screen muttering “No, no, no.”

While there is no way of knowing exactly what has happened in this scene, which could be Kamala having swapped places with Captain Marvel – played once again by Brie Larson – or somehow morphed into Captain Marvel, it is clearly a lead into next year’s movie, The Marvels. With WandaVision’s post credit scene sending Monica Rambeau to her appearance in that movie, and Secret Invasion also expected to link into next summer’s Captain Marvel sequel, no doubt all will become clear by the time The Marvels arrives next July.

Ms. Marvel Is One Of The Highest Rated MCU Series So Far.

     Marvel Studios

There has been a lot of praise given to Ms. Marvel since its debut on Disney+, but viewer numbers didn’t quite hit the heights of many other Marvel Studios TV series. There have been a number of reasons cited for this seeming lack of interest in the show as opposed to the likes of Moon Knight or Loki, from the number of other big series that arrived around the same time including Obi-Wan Kenobi, Stranger Things and The Boys, to the fact that the younger lead of the series just didn’t seem as much of “must watch immediately” entry in Marvel’s narrative.

While there have been some interesting moments that have linked the series to the wider MCU, on the whole, Ms. Marvel has been mostly set apart and had its own story to tell before the title character is thrown into the MCU’s movie world next year. It has mainly been that story, which has touched on a number of cultural references linked to India’s partition, and Muslim religion that has now necessarily been shown before in such a wide-reaching show.

Now Ms. Marvel is over, and Thor: Love and Thunder is in cinemas, there are now eyes turning to the next offering from Marvel Studios, which will come in the form of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law at the end of August. While there has been a lot of anticipation about the show, there has already been many social media users making their feelings known about the CGI of She-Hulk, which some believe is under par for Marvel.
