Naruto is a Shonen anime that was first released in September 1999. The story follows the titular Naruto Uzumaki as he battles his way through discrimination, changing the minds of those around him, on his mission to become the respected leader of his village of Konoha. In this journey, we see Naruto save and change countless lives and gain respect from those around him.
There are currently three great anime series in the Naruto franchise: Naruto (1999), Naruto Shippuden (2007), and Boruto (2017). Several movies have been released throughout the multiple series of this franchise, which develop Naruto’s character and chronicles his journey, which is best watched in order alongside the Naruto anime shows. Ninja Clash in the Land Of Snow

The first Naruto film focuses on a young Naruto and Team Seven as they take on a mission, becoming bodyguards and escorting an actress to the Land of Snow for the last few shots of the actress’ movie. However, the actress seems reluctant to go, and along the way there, her secret past is revealed, leaving Team Seven to face its aftermath.

Legend of the Stone of Gelel
The second movie in the Naruto franchise follows Naruto, Sakura, and Shikamaru as they become caught in a battle for the Stone of Gelel. This stone is a powerful mineral with mysterious powers that can grant the user unbelievable power. They realize they must not let this stone be used for bad intentions or fall into the wrong hands.

Guardian of the Crescent Moon Kingdom
This movie features Naruto, Sakura, Rock Lee, and Kakashi Sensei being assigned a B-ranked mission. They must protect the prince of the land of the moon. Unfortunately, the prince is spoiled, and his actions constantly annoy Naruto, who, through this movie, attempts to change the prince’s materialist viewpoint on the world into one of respect for other people.

Naruto Shippuden the Movie
A powerful demon returns, using one of his followers as a host until they can get his own body back. Meanwhile, Naruto, Sakura, Rock Lee, and Neji are sent to protect and deliver a priestess to the resting place of the demon’s body, as she is the only one who can seal him once more.

Naruto Shippuden: Bonds
Naruto’s village of Konohagakure is suddenly attacked by flying Shinobi from the Sky Village. Konohagakure had previously heavily damaged this village in the Second Great Ninja War, and now the Sky Village is back for revenge.

Naruto Shippuden: The Will of Fire
This film’s central premise follows the possibility of a Fourth Shinobi World War when ninjas with Kekkei Genkai abilities begin to disappear from the villages, with no one to blame but each other.

Naruto Shippuden: The Lost Tower
A powerful Shinobi, Mukade, goes missing, and Naruto, Yamato, Sakura, and Sai are assigned a mission to capture him. They located him in Rōran, a past city of thousands of towers that is now in ruins. They quickly find out Mukade’s goal. He will travel back in time to the past and take over the Five Great Shinobi Counties using the power of the Ryūmyaku, an ancient chakra flow hidden deep underground Rōran.

Naruto is framed for a crime he did not commit. He is sent to an inescapable prison, where he must escape at all costs while also unveiling a viler threat beneath the prison’s facade.

Naruto and Sakura are captured in a parallel world by Madara, attempting to steal the Nine-Tails from Naruto. During their time there, they see familiar faces acting strange and have internal realizations about their world.

The Last: Naruto the Movie
The film’s premise is to stop the moon from falling and save Hanabi Hyuuga, Hinata Hyuuga’s younger sister. But while seemingly less stakes, the more satisfying plot is watching Naruto realize his feelings for Hinata and confess to her (though some unexpected issues arise).

Boruto: Naruto The Movie
This movie is set after Naruto completes his dream. He’s become Hokage and started a family; now we see what happens next. This is about the next generation of Shinobi, a perfect introduction to Boruto himself.
