Netflix has released a preview that showcases many upcoming films coming to the service in 2022. This preview was about 3 minutes and featured appearances from many film stars who break the fourth wall amid their own teasers.

MOVIEWEB VIDEO OF THE DAY

Netflix begins the video with a look at The Mother starring Jennifer Lopez. From there, we get glimpses at other high-profile projects, including The Adam Project starring Ryan Reynolds and Mark Ruffalo, The Gray Man starring Ryan Gosling and Chris Evans, and Day Shift which appears to be Jamie Foxx vs. vampires. There are some comedies such as You People featuring Eddie Murphy and Jonah Hill, along with Me Time which stars Kevin Hart and Mark Wahlberg.

On the more family-friendly side of things, there are first looks at Enola Holmes 2 with Henry Cavill and Millie Bobby Brown, Slumberland with Jason Momoa, and The School For Good and Evil with Charlize Theron and Kerry Washington. On the animated side of things, there are quick glimpses of Guillermo Del Toro’s Pinocchio, The Sea Beast, and Wendell and Wild, which feature the voices of Jordan Peele and Keegan-Michael Key.

The Preview Features a Fleeting Glimpse of Knives Out 2

     Lionsgate

The preview ends with brief footage of possibly Netflix-s most-anticipated project in 2022, Knives Out 2. This sequel to 2019’s Knives Out will be another whodunit from Rian Johnson and will see the return of Daniel Craig as Benoit Blanc investigating a new mystery. The new cast is packed with stars including Dave Bautista, Kathryn Hahn, Leslie Odom Jr., Edward Norton, Janelle Monae, Kate Hudson, Jessica Henwick, Madelyn Cline, and Ethan Hawke.

There are still some films in Netflix’s lineup that are not included in this video. Some of these films include David Fincher’s The Killer, Extraction 2 with Chris Hemsworth, the upcoming Texas Chainsaw Massacre sequel (which did recently have a full trailer), and Blonde, a Marilyn Monroe biopic featuring Ana de Armas as the legendary actress.

With plenty of shows and movies lined up for 2022, this is sure to be another massive year for the service and this preview does an excellent job at getting its subscribers excited.
