Directed by David Fincher and written by Andrew Kevin Walker, The Killer is based on the French graphic novel series of the same name by Alexis Nolent. Starring Michael Fassbender as Christian, aka The Killer, alongside Charles Parnell, Arliss Howard, Sophie Charlotte, and Tilda Swinton, Rotten Tomatoes has plucked the first footage from the recent Netflix 2023 trailer for your viewing pleasure.

MOVIEWEB VIDEO OF THE DAY

The Killer is expected to follow the source material and follow a solitary, cold, methodical man who is unencumbered by scruples or regrets. Waiting in the shadows, watching for his next target, the longer he waits, the more he thinks he’s losing his mind, if not his cool. Described as “a brutal, bloody and stylish noir story of a professional assassin lost in a world without a moral compass,” The Killer is a case study of “a man alone, armed to the teeth and slowly losing his mind.” Which sounds like the perfect tale for Fincher and Fassbender to bring to the screen.

The Killer looks to be a slick, intense, and no doubt thought-provoking action outing from Fincher, who teams up with Netflix for the sixth time.
