A new trailer has been unleashed for Resident Evil, a live-action TV series coming to Netflix that’s based on the popular video games. Primarily following the daughters of Albert Wesker, the series imagines a world ravaged by the T-Virus, leaving little survivors and countess creatures and zombies. The Cerberus, Lickers, and more can be seen in the new trailer, of course joined by plenty of the undead, and you can check it out by watching the video below.
Lance Reddick stars as Albert Wesker in the series, which is being treated by its creators as set in the same universe as the video games. The show also stars Ella Balinska, Tamara Smart, Siena Agudong, Adeline Rudolph, Paola Nunez, Ahad Raza Mir, Connor Gassatti, and Turlough Convery. Andrew Dabb serves as series showrunner and co-wrote with Mary Leah Sutton. Dabb and Sutton also executive produced with Robert Kulzer and Olver Berben of Constantin Film.

The Resident Evil Series Comes From Fans of the Games
Netflix
“Resident Evil is my favorite game of all time,” showrunner Andrew Dabb said in a statement. “I’m incredibly excited to tell a new chapter in this amazing story and bring the first-ever Resident Evil series to Netflix members around the world. For every type of Resident Evil fan, including those joining us for the first time, the series will be complete with a lot of old friends, and some things (bloodthirsty, insane things) people have never seen before.”
While the series will be sharing its universe with the games, it will introduce original characters to lead the story. The Wesker twins are at the heart of the plot, and the series will showcase their point of view on the downfall of civilization, both before and after the leak of the T-Virus in Raccoon City. Netflix previously shared more detail about the plot with the below announcement.
Resident Evil starts streaming on July 14, 2022. You can watch the series at Netflix.com.
