The hit Netflix series Surviving Summer has gotten the green light for a second season. The series will premiere on the streaming giant in the latter half of 2023. The first series consisted of ten episodes; reportedly, the second series will continue that trend.

In Surviving Summer, Summer is made to live with a family who is friends of her mother’s for six weeks in the Australian town of Shorehaven. Summer first resisted staying there, but after experiencing an epiphany about her life, she began to appreciate the people and the community. Summer also takes up surfing and finds a way to connect her love of the sport and apply to it her emotional healing.

The series stars former Raven’s Home actress Sky Katz as the protagonist Summer Torres, Kai Lewins as Ari Gibson, and Lilliana Bowrey as Poppy Tetanui. Katz recently posted an update on the series to her Instagram, claiming, “dude we’re getting the band back together.”

Josh Mapleston and Joanna Werner are the series’ creators. The screenwriters are Mapleston, Magda Wozniak, Keir Wilkins, Gemma Crofts, and Kirsty Fisher. Episodes in the first season are directed by Sian Davies and Charlotte George, in addition to Ben Chessell, who serves as the show’s director. Executive producers include Stuart Menzies and Joanna Werner. According to the show’s creators, the series was initially pitched to have a Parent Trap concept with two female cousins, but one of the characters was altered to a boy because Netflix executives requested that the show also appeals to guys.

Raven’s Home: What We Know About the Upcoming Sixth Season

In September 2022, the Disney Channel hit show, Ravens Home, was renewed for a sixth season. The series stars Raven-Symoné in the title role along with other familiar faces such as Anneliese van der Pol as Raven’s friend Chelsea Daniels. Star of Surviving Summer, Sky Katz was in the first four seasons of Raven’s Home, playing the character of Tess O’Malley; however, she has since left the show.

Here is what we know about the sixth season of Ravens Home. First, it will be shown on the Disney Channel network. It will be released sometime later in 2023. In season 5 of the show, Raven returns home to San Francisco, California, with her son to help her father, and in season 6, we can expect to see Raven and friends in a similar setting.

If you don’t know, Ravens Home is the sequel to the hit 2003 series That’s So Raven. In Raven’s Home, physic Raven Baxter and her best friend Chelsea Daniels are single mothers who live together as they raise their children and work in Chicago. The series first premiered on July 21, 2017.
