Our first look at season 2 of Firefly Lane has been revealed, and along with some images comes the news that the second season will hit Netflix on Dec. 2, 2022. The downside to this update is that Netflix has also announced that season 2 also serves as the final season of the series with no third season in the works. The four new images, which you can view below, provide a sneak peek at the show’s final episodes ahead of their arrival in December.

The supersized second season of Firefly Lane will consist of 16 episodes with plans to break them up into two parts. Part 1 will arrive on Dec. 2, 2022, including episodes 201-209. Part 2 will launch in 2023 which will include episodes 210-216.

In season 2, Katherine Heigl and Sarah Chalke reprise their roles as lifelong best friends facing the ultimate test of their friendship and the path to sustain the other relationships in their lives. Four new cast members joining season 2 include India de Beaufort (Charlotte), Greg Germann (Benedict), Jolene Purdy (Justine), and Ignacio Serricchio (Danny). Also starring are Ben Lawson, Beau Garrett, Ali Skovbye, Roan Curtis, and Yael Yurman.

Maggie Friedman serves as showrunner of Firefly Lane and executive produces with Heigl, Shawn Williamson, Michael Spiller, and Stephanie Germain. Writers for season 2 include Friedman, Savannah Dooley, Becky Hartman Edwards, James Ford Jr., Michael Ross, Barbara Johns, Marissa Lee, and Davah Avena. Directors include Spiller, Shannon Kohli, Vanessa Parise, Katina Medina Mora, Monika Mitchell, Sarah Wayne Callies, and Winnifred Jong.
