It’s been a hot minute since we got a taste of the trash-talking queen of crime in DC Direct’s upcoming animated series Harley Quinn. But with Birds of Prey on the way to theaters and The Suicide Squad shooting as we speak, we finally have an official look at this R-rated series, which is definitely going where the DCEU never could. And it appears to be a blast.

Harley Quinn, as a DC Universe show, is paying its deep, dark respects to Batman: The Animated Series, and why shouldn’t it. That classic afternoon adventure show gave us the Cupid of Crime, before officially appearing in any of the DC Comics titles or the three movies that feature Margot Robbie. Here, it is Kaley Cuoco as the lead protagonist, and we’ll let fans decided who has a better grasp on the material.

Harley is kicking butt and demanding respect in this latest sneak peak! We’d previously been treated to a Harley Quinn NYCC teaser trailer that was very well received, as well as the Harley Quinn Comic Con trailer that arrived this past July. The wait is nearly over, and it appears that Harleen Quinzel will be gracing us with a tasty Thanksgiving after-snack. You can start streaming the new animated original series when it premieres November 29, only on DC Universe.

Daddy’s little monster is ready to make it on her own, which is a big theme in the upcoming live-action movie Birds of Prey which comes tagged with the subtitle [And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn]. It appears that Harry Quinn is really dead set on finding her freedom away from Joker.

Harley Quinn has finally broken things off once and for all with the CLown Prince of Crime, and attempts to make it on her own as the criminal Queenpin of Gotham City in this half-hour adult animated action-comedy series. The series features Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy, and a whole cast of heroes and villains, old and new, from the DC Universe. Harley Quinn is produced by Ehsugadee Productions and Yes, Norman Productions in association with Warner Bros. Animation. Executive producers are Justin Halpern, Patrick Schumacker, Kaley Cuoco, Dean Lorey, Sam Register.
