Starting today, you can purchase advance tickets for Thor: Love and Thunder. To celebrate, Marvel Studios released a new short trailer for the movie with some new footage and what seems to be a little bit of Marvel misdirection. With the next Marvel movie only a month away, tickets can now be purchased for the first showings of the movie, which will see Thor and his team take on the dark and disturbing Gorr The God Butcher in a cosmic battle that has been promised to be a “bonkers” outing for the God of Thunder.
The new trailer suggests Thor is building a team to help take down Gorr, with that team comprised of Korg, Valkyrie, the Guardians of the Galaxy, and Jane Foster in the form of The Mighty Thor. However, while there is no doubt that all of these characters will come into place in Thor’s fight, it is unlikely that we will see or hear those exact lines in the movie. As Thor says,”I’m putting together the greatest team ever,” there is small glitch in sound that suggests this line will actually be from two scenes. This tweak is not something that is new to Marvel fans, and trailers are always to be taken as an interpretation of what can be expected on the big screen when Thor: Love and Thunder arrives on July 8th. Check out the new footage below.

Thor: Love and Thunder Will Expand On The MCU’s Gods
Marvel Studios
While there have been many entities to feature in the MCU over the last 14 years, there has only been a limited number of gods. Now in Thor: Love and Thunder that is all about to change with the arrival of Russell Crowe as Zeus. Whether the new addition to the Marvel party will still be around by the end of the movie, or whether he will fall victim to fellow newcomer Christian Bale in the role of Gorr, Crowe’s take on Zeus is set to make a big impact on the MCU, and as the universe’s chief God Thor, Chris Hemsworth has nothing but praise for the actor. He previously said:
There are still a lot of reveals to take place when Thor: Love and Thunder hits cinemas, from characters that seem to be missing from the trailers to who will survive Gorr’s onslaught, and where Thor, Jane, Valkyrie, Korg and the Guardians will be by the end of the movie. For those wanting to be first to find out all of the film’s secrets, now would be a good time to grab your tickets.
“I never thought I’d see the day where Russell would appear on screen with hints at Gladiator imagery, yet with a wink-totally self-deprecating. He didn’t hold back. I’m such a fan. I have been since I first started acting. There’s such a weight and a seriousness to his performances and to him, as an individual, from afar. But meeting him, he has a great sense of humor and did whatever Taika asked on set, which was mind-blowing. And it was really fun to play with the mythology, going from Norse to Greek mythology – Taika pulls all these worlds together.”
