The Obi-Wan Kenobi series takes place during a time when there are plenty of characters that could make a brief or major cameo on the show. The Disney+ series is set 10 years after The Revenge of The Sith and the tragic events of Order 66. There are a whole host of fan-favorite characters that could potentially show up on the show. Darth Vader, Uncle Owen, and The Grand Inquisitor are all confirmed to be in the much-anticipated series. As exciting as seeing those characters return really is, audiences should be a lot more excited to see some familiar fan favorites in the show. Rupert Friend, who is set to play The Grand Inquisitor; recently said in an interview with HeyUGuys that there will be plenty of “wonderful cameos”. So who could we see potentially show up in the much-anticipated series?

5 Ahsoka Tano

     Lucasfilm

Having fought together in the Clone Wars, Obi-Wan and Ahsoka have a lot of history, especially considering that Ahsoka Tano was the former Padawan of Anakin Skywalker. In the hit animated series The Clone Wars, the trio spent plenty of time together and have built a close relationship and friendship throughout the course of the show.

The Obi-Wan Kenobi series has the potential to dive into flashbacks from the clone wars era; with the return of Hayden Christensen to play Darth Vader; it is highly likely fans will expect to see flashbacks from their time together as Master and Padawan, respectively. If the show does feature flashbacks from the clone wars era; it is very likely we could see a young Ahsoka before she was exiled from the Jedi Order.

Even so, it is possible a more veteran Ahsoka could appear in the Kenobi series, similar to how we have seen the character in The Mandalorian and the Rebels TV show. Due to both Ahsoka and Obi-Wan Kenobi surviving Order 66, it is possible the two former allies and friends will reunite once more.

4 Darth Maul

     20th Century FoxLucasfilm Ltd.

Perhaps Obi-Wan Kenobi’s first and most infamous arch-nemesis, Darth Maul; could see a return to live-action in the upcoming Disney+ series. During the time the Kenobi series is set, the Dathomirian former Sith Lord, is the head of a crime syndicate known as Crimson Dawn. While primarily running the crime syndicate from his home planet Dathomir, Maul would leave his home planet if it meant coming face to face with the Jedi Master.

Maul is Obi-Wan’s oldest and perhaps most infamous foe, and it wouldn’t be out of the question to see the former Sith lord show up on the show due to the two characters’ rivalry, and Maul’s hatred of the Jedi who cut him in half. Although Darth Maul does meet his end at the hands of Obi-Wan Kenobi many years after the Disney+ series is set, it is still highly likely for the two to meet during this time.

3 Cad Bane

     Disney+

Cad Bane’s cameo in The Book of Boba Fett was brief, yet his appearance in the show sent the fandom wild. The bounty hunter’s cameo on the show may only be a one-time opportunity for us to see the character in live-action. However, with Cad Bane’s history with the Jedi Master, it is likely fans can expect to see their favorite bounty hunter return to face off with Kenobi once again.

2 Cal Kestis

     Electronic Arts (EA)

The hit video game Jedi: Fallen Order introduced Star Wars fans to a brand new Jedi; who quickly became a fan favorite. Jedi: Fallen Order is set five years before the Kenobi series, and in the video game, Cal Kestis opens a Holocron which contains a message from Obi Wan Kenobi himself. At the end of the video game, Cal Kestis retrieves a list of all the force-sensitive children in the galaxy. The Jedi and his crew then set out to seek and protect all the force-sensitive children that may be on the list from the Galactic Empire. It is possible that Luke Skywalker is on that list, and with Obi Wan watching over Luke, Cal Kestis could make his live-action debut and come face to face with Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi.

1 Qui-Gon Jinn

Obi Wan’s former Jedi master is the most likely to make a brief cameo as a force ghost. Typically, in the Star Wars series, a Jedi’s former Master will appear as a force ghost in a time of need. Obi-Wan himself returned as a force ghost to help Luke Skywalker fulfill his destiny in Empire Strikes Back. In the much divisive The Last Jedi, it was Master Yoda who returned to help guide Luke on his final journey. Rey was the last time we saw this happen, with Luke Skywalker returning to lead Rey on the right path. Qui-Gon Jinn has also returned as a force ghost to his former Padawan Obi-Wan Kenobi in The Clone Wars animated series, and was voiced by Liam Neeson. The actor has stated however, that while he’d love to return as Qui-Gon, he’s not interested in appearing in a TV series. While this may be true, it isn’t uncommon for actors to throw audiences off, if they were to be making a surprise appearance.
