Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige is notorious for his strict process regarding spoilers, even if the MCU leader admits it’s impossible to stop them. Loki, the Disney+ series which debuted in 2021 with a second season on the way, contained heavy spoilers for the overall outlook of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, maybe more so than any other Disney+ show. The season one finale saw He Who Remains (Jonathan Majors), a variant of Kang the Conquerer. Those who tuned into Marvel’s Comic-Con panel will know Kang is set to be one of the overarching villains in the Multiverse Saga, with Avengers: The Kang Dynasty set to release in 2025.

With a storyline so spoiler heavy, it’s no wonder Loki co-star Owen Wilson was required to be so tight-lipped. The actor made his debut in the MCU with Loki as Mobius M. Mobius, who turned out to be a fan favorite character. However, during an interview with ComicBook.com, the actor discussed filming in London, admitting he’s afraid to say too much about the upcoming season. Wilson said, ‘Doing Loki, and we’re filming that now in London.’ When asked about particular details surrounding his character, the actor claims he doesn’t know too much, saying, ‘Well, I do think that… You know, we’ll see what happens with this one. I immediately get kind of self-conscious because they’re so uptight.’ He’s asked whether Marvel has scolded him for saying too much in the past, to which Wilson responds, ‘Yes. Yeah, multiple times.’

In the past, Marvel has seen plenty of trouble with spoilers. These include Tom Holland sharing Tony Stark’s death following the Endgame release (although it was two months later) and Mark Ruffalo spoiling multiple storylines in Avengers: Endgame and Infinity War. Kevin Feige is doing his best to prevent plots from leaking; however, as the MCU expands, it only gets more complicated.

Owen Wilson Becomes a Superhero in Secret Headquarters

     Paramount Pictures

Loki isn’t the only superhero project Owen Wilson is working on. The actor will suit up as The Guard/Jack in his new Paramount+ film, Secret Headquarters. The official description for the movie reads: ‘While hanging out after school, Charlie and his friends discover the headquarters of the world’s most powerful superhero beneath his home. When villains attack, they must team up to defend the headquarters and save the world.’

During an exclusive interview with MovieWeb, Wilson said, ‘I think this role was a little bit of wish fulfillment for me as an actor — the chance to play a superhero.’ Although Wilson’s role in the MCU is set in stone, he doesn’t exactly play a superhero, or not one with any spectacular powers. However, Secret Headquarters gave the actor a chance to experience something new in his career, and chances are Wilson didn’t have to be as secretive with his role as he is in Loki. You can watch Wilson’s latest film, Secret Headquarters, available now on Paramount+.
