Dave Gibbons’ set visit to the set of Watchmen has been continued on the film’s production blog. Gibbons is known to comic book fans as the award winning writer and illustrator who co-created The Watchmen comic book with Alan Moore. Some of the symbolic elements which Zack Snyder is working in to the film were created by Moore, while others were created by Gibbons. You don’t need to subscribe to Netflix to watch The Munsters, the upcoming reboot of the classic TV series from director Rob Zombie. On Instagram, Zombie posted a trailer for the film’s Blu-ray/DVD release, providing a little more footage of the film that will be released this fall. Zombie has previously announced that The Munsters comes to Netflix in September with an exact day yet to be revealed, and in the new teaser, it’s shown that the Blu-ray and DVD will arrive on Sept....

Right now, a TV series based on a movie franchise is almost guaranteed to have a big budget and be a huge hit on streaming platforms such as Netflix, Prime Video or Disney+. However, back in the 80s that was certainly not the case, as Nightmare on Elm Street spin-off Freddy’s Nightmares proved. Following the success of five movies, Freddy Krueger made his way onto the small screen as the same kind of anthology host as the Crypt Keeper in Tales From The Crypt, with Robert Englund reprising his role as the knife-fingered killer....

Lucifer has finally found its God, as Allstate Insurance spokesman Dennis Haysbert has officially been cast in the role. Set to appear in the show’s upcoming fifth and final season on Netflix, Haysbert topped the list of names in consideration for the part, making the casting process rather easy. “We did like the big crazy list of [possible actors for the part], and he was my top choice,” says Lucifer co-showrunner Joe Henderson....

Before he was the celebrated writer of four Martin Scorsese films and director of classics like American Gigolo, Cat People, and Affliction, Paul Schrader was a young critic and film theorist (like many budding filmmakers). French director Mathieu Kassovitz has been attached to direct Rebellion and MNP, produced by the director’s production house MNP Entreprise. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Kassovitz will both star in and direct Rebellion, based on the true story of French commandoes who clashed with tribal dwellers in the South Pacific territory of New Caledonia in 1988. The film will start shooting at the end of the year. Next up, Kassovitz will take on planet earth in MNP, a big-budget film set on a space station....

Although everyone in Hollywood has an opinion on the Oscars Will Smith/Chris Rock incident, one person who seemingly didn’t want to get involved in a discussion about it is Mel Gibson. In a recent interview about his new movie Father Stu, Gibson was asked by Jesse Watters how he felt he would have been treated if he had been in Will Smith’s place. Within moments, Gibson’s off-screen publicist ended the interview despite Watters attempting to get his bizarre question answered....

Mike Fleiss (producer of The Bachelor and Hostel) is returning to the reality show world for the ABC program, The Great American Dream Vote. The network has already ordered five episodes for broadcast as soon as next month. Variety reports the show is a twist on the old ‘Queen for a Day’ format, in which regular people see their dreams come true. A group of six to eight people will state their case to a studio audience, with each explaining his dream and why he deserves to have it fulfilled....

Linda Hunt’s last appearance as Hetty Lange in Season 13 of NCIS: Los Angeles has left fans wanting for more, especially given her very little screen time. Now that Callen (Chris O’Donnell) and Anna (Bar Paly) are engaged, showrunner R. Scott Gemmill has not only teased a possible return for Hetty but has provided an update on the plan for her return as well. Universal’s The Best Man, directed and written by Malcolm D. Actress Peggy Lipton, best known for her roles as Norma Jennings on Twin Peaks and Julie Barnes on The Mod Squad, has passed away at the age of 72. The news was confirmed by her daughters, Kidada and Rashida Jones. Lipton died following a battle with cancer. Lipton had been diagnosed with colon cancer initially in 2004. Her daughters had this to say in a statement. Peggy Lipton was born in New York on August 30, 1946....
