After more than 10 years, NBCUniversal has confirmed plans to shut down its horror TV channel Chiller TV. A spokesperson confirmed that the network will be shut down early next year, although no explanation was given for why the network is being shuttered. Here’s what an NBCUniversal spokesperson had to say in a statement about shutting down Chiller TV. Chiller TV launched on March 1, 2007, specializing in horror, thriller and suspense programming....

Bad news for fans of Mindhunter as it looks like the show has probably reached its end. At least for the foreseeable future. Netflix has released the entire core cast from their contracts and series creative head David Fincher is currently focusing on other projects. With that being the case, Mindhunter season 3 looks to be nothing more than a pipedream, unless something rather dramatic happens. According to various reports, Holt McCallan, Anna Torv and Jonathan Groff’s contracts have lapsed, which means they are free to pursue other projects....

Orlando Jones will guest star in a two-episode arc of the ABC series, Men in Trees. Jones will play George, the estranged son of Buzz (John Amos) who has been corresponding with his newly-found brother, Patrick (Derek Richardson). The Curious Case of Benjamin Button special effects studio Drac Studios is developing the 3D live-action/CG hybrid movie Christmas Tails, which will feature a recently discovered recording of the late Orson Welles narrating a children’s Christmas novel. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the project will be directed by Todd Tucker and narrated by Welles, who died in 1985. “It’s a movie about how Santa’s dog saves Christmas, but on one level, this a story about the discovery of Orson’s lost tapes,” Drac president Harvey Lowry said....
