Queen Latifah (Chicago) will host The 33rd Annual People’s Choice Awards, to be broadcast live from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, Tuesday, Jan. 9 (9:00-11:00 PM, live ET/delayed PT) on the CBS Television Network. The first awards show of 2007 honors favorite performers in television, motion pictures and music. The second round of nominees include The Class, Alanis Morissette, Sheryl Crow, Rascal Flatts, Cars, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest, Click, X-Men: The Last Stand, Ice Age: The Meltdown, Over the Hedge and Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby....

Quibi has released the first official trailer for Funny or Die’s upcoming comedy series Flipped. The new show stars Saturday Night Live alum Will Forte alongside It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia actress Kaitlin Olson. Jeffrey Katzenberg and Meg Whitman’s Quibi streaming service is putting an aim on shorter content meant for mobile devices. The new service is scheduled to launch on April 6th, and it is believed that Flipped will debut on that day....

Disney isn’t going to stop with the live-action remakes and reimaginings until the money stops rolling in. With that in mind, it shouldn’t come as a huge surprise to learn that the studio is developing a live-action Rapunzel movie. While not billed as a remake, per se, it’s easy to imagine the studio might look to Tangled for inspiration in bringing this tale to the big screen again. According to a new report, Ashleigh Powell (The Nutcracker and the Four Realms) has been hired to pen the screenplay for Rapunzel....

A new teaser trailer has been released for Lucky Hank. The next series to star Bob Odenkirk after the actor’s acclaimed run on the Breaking Bad prequel series Better Call Saul, Lucky Hank is also an AMC show. Michael Bay originally stated that Megatron would only be making a cameo appearance in his highly anticipated summer sequel Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Now, Hasbro’s action figure packaging for the film has revealed a different destiny for everyone’s favorite bad guy robot. The twin robots Skids and Mudflap caused a lot of controversy for director Michael Bay in his 2009 blockbuster Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Back in May 2010, Michael Bay confirmed that the robot characters were not coming back for his upcoming sequel Transformers: Dark of the Moon, which arrives in theaters nationwide on July 1. However, an early review of Transformers: Dark of the Moon indicated that Skids and Mudflap are actually in the movie, although Michael Bay has denied it once again....

This article may include minor spoilers for Morbius. While some Marvel fans had already called for Sony to give their claim on Spider-Man up and allow Disney to take the character and all that comes with him back under the Marvel Studios wing, the release of Morbius doesn’t seem likely to change minds. Actually, it could well add more voices to that call after the film managed to drag itself to a pitiful 20% critics approval on Rotten Tomatoes, which is worse than Sony’s two Venom movies, which fared slightly better with 30% and 57% for Venom and Venom: Let There Be Carnage respectively....
