The Sandman hits Netflix later this year and it has been a long journey for Neil Gaiman to get the comic book series to screens, mainly because he had so many worries about a bad version being made. Speaking about the hurdles faced in adapting The Sandman, Gaiman compared his fears to the fate that befell Howard the Duck, a Marvel comic book character whose movie debut destroyed his reputation for decades....
Netflix has canceled both V Wars and October Faction after only one season. The shows launched on December 5th and January 23rd, respectively. Netflix made the announcement after revealing that Locke & Key had received a series renewal. The streaming service did not reveal a reason behind the cancellations and they do not release their streaming numbers, so the decision was internal, based on their own data. It appears that the financial numbers were not worth what both shows had been gaining as far as streaming numbers are concerned, though that could have changed with a second season....

The Social Network director David Fincher has optioned the 2009 Jason Starr novel Panic Attack. The director has also set screenwriter Ted Griffin (Ocean’s Eleven, Terriers) to adapt the novel. The story follows a New York City psychiatrist who shoots and kills a home intruder. The event leads to a slew of media attention, and also causes the victim’s accomplice to start gunning for the shrink. The project will fall under David Fincher’s newly-formed company Panic Pictures, which is set up at Media Rights Capital....

Gruff action star Gerard Butler is back, and this time, he’s joined by Luke Cage star Mike Colter in the first trailer for the upcoming action thriller outing, Plane. Released courtesy of Lionsgate, the trailer teases this action-hero team-up, with Plane finding Butler and Colter punching, kicking, and stabbing their way through a band of kidnappers after crash landing on an island. Mighty Morphin Power Rangers is known for being a fun franchise targeted toward children. The show features “teenagers with attitude,” taking on the forces of evil with martial arts skills and giant robots to help them combat gigantic monsters. The franchise would even see television & comic crossovers with the likes of Kamen Rider, Godzilla, & the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Filmmaking icon Quentin Tarantino has revealed that he prefers Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull over its previous outing Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Cue many confused looks. The Good A very well crafted thriller that keeps changing as it goes along. The Bad Towards the very end I think this movie starts to lose something. I knew from the trailers that I was going to like the movie Red Eye. I just had this feeling that something about the movie was going to be good. I think Rachel McAdams and Cillian Murphy are both very good actors, and having Wes Craven in the mix really upped the stakes of this psychological thriller....

Director George Sluizer plans to finish his dramatic thriller Dark Blood some eighteen years after production came to a halt due to the sudden and unexpected death of his leading man, River Phoenix.
