Madonna and Guy Oseary’s Maverick Red production genre label and Angel Baby Entertainment are producing Digger, a grave-digging horror film directed by Angel Baby partner John A. Gallagher. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the feature, set for a late-summer production in Connecticut, is the second co-production between the new Maverick Films genre arm and Angel Baby. The first, Slamdance horror screenplay competition winner Slaughter, from writers Nathan Brookes and Bobby Darby, begins production in July....

Hugh Jackman played the famous Marvel mutant Wolverine in various X-Men films for 17 years. He was first introduced as the character in 2000’s X-Men and became an immediate fan favorite when the movie was released, leading him to continue in the role for eight more movies until his retirement from the character in 2017’s Logan, which saw Wolverine sacrifice his life. Jackman felt it was the right time to retire from the role, and it was time to move on to let someone else play the iconic X-Men character....

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law recently revealed that Daredevil will appear in the series, at least for a bit. The brief glimpse comes from Daredevil’s quick appearance in She-Hulk’s new trailer. Fans see him appearing in his classic yellow suit, and it’s an excellent set-up for the recently announced revival of his series. In fact, fans have a lot of theories that are growing out of the She-Hulk series. The show will be bringing back a whole list of heroes and villains in Jennifer Walters’ burgeoning career as a lawyer in a superhuman law division....

One of the best, if not THE very best, Netflix original series is Fight Club and Zodiac director David Fincher’s serial killer series Mindhunter starring Jonathan Groff, Holt McCallany, and Anna Torv. The show blew more than a handful of viewers entirely away with it’s (no pun intended) killer first season. And today we have word via Fincher himself that the second season will be unleashed onto Netflix on August 16th....

It looks like Super Size Me writer-director Morgan Spurlock is getting into non-documentary feature-length films and has an Erin Brockovich-styled film already in the works, he announced to USA Today. Morgan Spurlock said: No film production information was announced. “I would love to. There’s a couple movies that I’m attached to right now. It took a long time to find something that I liked. There’s a film I’m attached to at Leonardo DiCaprio’s company right now that’s very Erin Brockovich-ish, which is great....

When the Covid lockdowns started, Netflix experienced a significant increase in growth. After many of the lockdowns ended, the company has had to admit they must crack down on password sharing in order to keep their numbers up. Many consumers have shared their accounts with friends and family members over the years. Due to the large amount of password sharing, the company is changing its policies to prevent people from doing that....

The Resident Evil game series has continued to be popular with every new release, but translating that success to movie and TV adaptations has seemed almost impossible. Now Netflix’s newest addition to the franchise, a live-action TV series simply called Resident Evil, has given the horror franchise its highest-rated live-action outing ever, even if that is currently still only at around 60%. Resident Evil was originally adapted into the Milla Jovovich movie of the same name, which then spawned five sequels....

While Marvel and Sony were happy to play fans along with the release of the Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer, John Cena took to the stage at San Diego Comic-Con this weekend and announced that a new trailer for Peacemaker will be arriving on Friday December 3rd ahead of the show’s January release. Cena arrived at the event in full Peacemaker suit to thank fans for their support for both the character and the upcoming The Suicide Squad spin-off series based around Christopher Smith....

In 2009, Orphan was released, telling the story of a couple who adopt a nine-year-old girl who turns out to not actually be the person that she initially claims to be. The film is an eerie watch that received mixed reviews from critics, but has since become a cult classic and is currently admired as a unique psychological horror film. Isabelle Fuhrman plays Esther, and her performance is a strong point of the film....

Paul Newman, famous for his roles in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, Cool Hand Luke as well as a massive portfolio of other projects including Cars and Road To Perdition, died today at his long-time home in Westport, Connecticut, of cancer. As recently as early August, Newman had been given only weeks to live as he finished a run of chemo-therapy. At that time, Newman decided to return to his home where he would remain with his family until his death....

With under a dozen episodes left to air before the curtain finally closes on the unbelievably successful television series Lost, fans can hardly wait to see which one of their favorite deceased or supporting characters will make one last appearance before the series ends in May.
