Mike Myers is coming back to the small screen, and he’s bringing a whole bunch of characters with him. Netflix has ordered a new half-hour comedy series produced by and starring the former Saturday Night Live cast member. At the present time, very little has been revealed about Mike Myers Netflix Comedy but it’s been explicitly stated that Myers will play “multiple characters” on the show. Beyond that, we’re left to wonder and speculate wildly amongst ourselves....

Milo Ventimiglia and Barry Sloane have signed on to star in ABC’s sci-fi drama pilot The Visitors, which Steven Spielberg is executive producing. The story centers on a race against time to defeat an invading alien race, who try to take over the Earth by using the planet’s most valuable resource, children. Milo Ventimiglia is playing John Doe/Drew Bennigan, a man who wakes up in a Washington D.C. alleyway with no memory of who he really is....

The popular Nicolas Cage movie franchise National Treasure is heading to TV, with a brand new lead and storyline in a Disney+ series, and it looks like that lead will be Total Eclipse star Lisette Alexis. While it was reported in 2020 that Cage was possibly on board for a third movie, the TV series will bring a younger cast in to tell a different story to the movies, but still comes from producer Jerry Bruckheimer, who originally discussed the project with Collider in May last year....

Cobra Kai creators Jon Hurwitz, Hayden Schlossberg, and Josh Heald’s action-comedy series Obliterated has found a new home on Netflix. TBS had previously given a straight-to-series order for Obliterated. It’s unclear why exactly the series was shopped to Netflix, but the move comes after the recent Warner Bros-Discovery merger, following which TBS and TNT discontinued their scripted programming. The plot synopsis for the series (via Deadline) reads: There is currently no word on when Obliterated will premiere, but casting talks are happening right now, and the show is expected to commence production this summer....

Nikyatu Jusu’s Suicide by Sunlight is getting a feature-length adaptation from Jordan Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions. In 2022, Nanny, Jusu’s screenwriting and directing feature film debut, was the first horror film to win the Sundance Grand Jury Prize. Deadline reports that writer, director, Assistant Professor in Film and Video, and Vanguard Award honoree Nikyatu Jusu’s short vampire film Suicide by Sunlight, which debuted at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival, is being adapted into a feature-length production by Jordan Peele’s company, Monkeypaw Productions....

After Ouija Shark made a splash with B-movie shark fans just over a year ago, Wild Eye Releasing has announced that the official sequel is currently filming with principal photography to be completed this year. Wild Eye Releasing has released a few screenshots from the movie to whet fans shark-sized appetites. A team up between Wild Eye Releasing and Survival Zombie Films, Ouija Shark 2 will see fan favorite John Migliore from the first film revive his shield-slinging shark fighter dad Anthony, as well as taking over directing duties for the film....

Tom Cruise and his Cruise/Wagner Productions and Paramount Pictures are ending their 14 year partnership. According to The Hollywood Reporter, they ended negotiations several days ago when a Paramount offer came up short. Paula Wagner said the production company has lined up private equity that will allow it to operate independently of any of the studios. However, Sumner Redstone, chairman of Viacom, Paramount’s parent company, stunned the Cruise camp Tuesday when he told the Wall Street Journal that the studio was not renewing its pact with Cruise, which was due to expire Aug....

The film was under the eyes of several studios for a while and gained momentum after Mackie and Chopra Jonas signed on to portray the two leads in it. The film will be a joint production between Inspire Entertainment’s Jason Spire, Davis Entertainment’s Jeremy Stein, Lit Entertainment, and Anthony Mackie through his Make It With Gravy Productions. Priyanka Chopra Jonas will also serve as an executive producer. Earlier Spire and Mackie have collaborated on Outside The Wire in which Mackie also played the lead role....

You can relive a Summit Entertainment action film on both formats this July. Push will be released on DVD and Blu-ray on July 7. HBO is holding tightly onto Bill Maher. The premium cabler has just officially ordered another two seasons of his popular late-night talk show, which will guarantee that Real Time with Bill Maher stays on the air through at least 2024. Because the show premiered on HBO in February 2003, the renewal also means Real Time will enter into its third decade on the network as part of the deal. It follows a previous renewal from HBO through 2022....
