Per The Hollywood Reporter, has put into production a pilot for a new Quantum Leap that would serve as a continuation of the original series with new lead stars. The sequel has been officially greenlit, but NBC will need to be impressed with the results before committing to a full series order....

According to Reuters, the upcoming James Bond film Quantum of Solace has cancelled plans to shoot near the Incan ruins at Maccu Picchu in Peru. The shoot was cancelled due to the uncertainty of bad weather. “They decided not to come because of climatic conditions. They couldn’t be sure it wouldn’t rain and they have very tight time,” said Margarita Morales, director of Iguana Productions, a Peruvian company hired to assist with filming....

The upcoming Marvel series New Warriors is currently searching for a network home, after it was announced that cable network FreeForm will no longer be airing the series. Netflix has revealed the first look and release date of its hotly anticipated film, The Gray Man. The film is directed by the Russo brothers and stars Chris Evans and Ryan Gosling in the lead roles. There’s a literal world of difference between the sitcoms from the ’80s and earlier, and the ones which emerged in the ’90s and beyond. The older sitcoms were defined by their laugh tracks, multi-camera approach, eccentric characters with little development, episodic structure, and broad, wacky humor. Eventually, a sense of ironic detachment set in with ’90s series like Seinfeld and Get a Life, followed by a more intimate, serialized format like How I Met Your Mother, and the removal of laugh tracks with the mockumentary style of The Office and Parks and Recreation....
