Peter Iliff has teased a return to the surf, revealing his proposed plans for a sequel series which would reveal what happened to Keanu Reeves’ FBI Agent Johnny Utah. Iliff has offered a few details regarding the Point Break 2 show, including that it would be led by Utah’s daughter, and that since the events of the first movie, Johnny has been mysteriously missing…...

DNA Films and Fox Atomic, the new youth division of Fox Filmed Entertainment, announced that principal photography has begun in London on 28 Weeks Later, the sequel to the 2003 international smash hit 28 Days Later. The film will be directed by Juan Carlos Fresnadillo (Intacto) and produced by Andrew Macdonald, Allon Reich and Enrique Lopez-Lavigne. 28 Weeks Later is written by Fresnadillo, Lopez-Lavigne, Rowan Joffe and Jesus Olmo; and Danny Boyle and Alex Garland will executive produce....

The Razzie Awards have always walked the line between parody and cruelty, depending on whose opinion you side with. Marvel released a brief new video earlier today, which revealed that the studio and the Netflix streaming service have renewed their hit show Luke Cage for a second season. While the move was widely expected, the studio made it official today. The video did not reveal how many episodes the new season will be, or when the season may debut. If an earlier report is to be believed, though, we may not see the new season for a few years....

Since Manifest wrapped up its third season in June 2021, the show left viewers with questions and some nail-biting drama in the season finale. But shortly after season three ended, NBC announced that they wouldn’t be renewing the series for a fourth season. The uproar by the show’s die-hard fans led them to start an online petition to bring it back. And something that rarely happens to TV shows happened to Manifest when the network announced that they renewed it for one last season....

Emmy Award winning actress Margo Martindale has signed on to join the cast of FX’s upcoming drama series, The Americans, which premieres on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at 10pm ET/PT. The agreement with Martindale is for a minimum of eight episodes. Martindale will play the role of “Claudia,” a KGB illegal living in the U.S. who delivers assignments to KGB Directorate S illegals Philip and Elizabeth Jennings, Russian spies posing as Americans....

During the Disney Branded Television panel at the Television Critics Association 2022 Winter press tour, Marvel fans got their first look at Marvel’s Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur, debuting this summer on the Disney Channel. With the first look, singer and songwriter Diamond White made history as Marvel’s first Black, young, female superhero: Lunella Lafayette, aka Moon Girl, a 13-year-old prodigy from Manhattan’s Lower East Side. Starring alongside White in the co-titular role will be Fred Tatasciore (Star Trek: Lower Decks) as the time-swapped (and red) Devil Dinosaur....

Marvel.com has announced that Patrick Brennan has signed on to play Marcus Daniels a.k.a. Blackout in “Providence”, airing Tuesday, April 15, and the currently-untitled 19th Episode on Tuesday, April 22. Take a look at the first photos of Patrick Brennan as Blackout, then read on for more information regarding this character. Blackout debuted in Nova #19 in 1976, with this upcoming episode marking the character’s live-action debut. However, his powers will be slightly altered from the comics, with this character possessing the ability to suck the energy out of anything around him....

Twitch is planning their biggest marathon yet and it sounds like a must-watch for hardcore Pokémon fans. The service, which is primarily used for video game streaming, has hosted plenty of marathons in the past, but this is going to be on a whole other level. It’s so epic, the company is actually splitting the event into several different marathons that will run into 2019. So there’s a lot to look forward to for those who want to try and catch ’em all....

Production on Five Nights at Freddy’s, a feature film based on the popular video game franchise, is moving forward with several cast members signing on. It was recently reported that Matthew Lillard (Scream, Scooby-Doo) and Josh Hutcherson (The Hunger Games, Future Man) had boarded the project in main roles, and subsequent reports suggest the former will play the villain while the latter will be the protagonist. Taking to Twitter, Lillard celebrated his casting by noting how he was eager to see what happens with the video game adaptation....

Kurt Sutter announced he will be leaving his position as co-showrunner on Mayans M.C. after its upcoming second season. The man behind the motorcycles, murder and Shakespearean level drama made the announcement at the FX show’s season two premiere at the Arclight Hollywood Cinerama Dome. The drama series hasn’t been renewed for a third season just yet, but if it is, Sutter’s move would put co-creator and co-showrunner Elgin James in charge....

Metalocalypse (the animated comedy) chronicles the world’s most popular entertainment act in the known universe, extreme metal band, Dethklok, as they balance their rabid popularity with the brutality of every day life. MGM has some interesting Blu-ray titles coming out in it’s next two waves of releases. Continuing its support of the Blu-ray Disc (BD) format, the only next generation high-definition packaged media that is broadly accepted by the film, music, gaming, computing and consumer electronics industries, MGM Home Entertainment announced two waves of two BD releases each for the fourth quarter today. The four titles to debut on BD are demographically on target with for adopters and Playstation 3 purchasers....

As cliché as it sounds, I have grown up on the work of filmmaker/animator Mike Judge. From his controversial MTV animated series Beavis and Butt-head and the successful Fox animated series King of the Hill to wonderful film classics Office Space and Idiocracy, if I hear the words Mike Judge on any film or TV project, needless to say, I’m on board. So, naturally, I was on board as well when I was invited to head down to Venice, California to Joe’s Restaurant (don’t let the name fool you - this place is high-class all the way) for dinner and a chat with Judge for his new film Extract, which will be released on DVD and Blu-ray on December 22....
