Think of “Poseidon” as sort of the anti-“Titanic”, a film it aspires to be but fails utterly in every conceivable way. There is no great romance, no epic special effects, just a lot of terrible dialogue spoken by wooden actors in a film so CGI dependent; I felt like I was watching a video game. “Poseidon” is actually a remake of the classic 70’s film “The Poseidon Adventure”. That film looks dated by today’s standards, but had an emotional gravitas that had you rooting for the characters....

Things are beginning to come together for director Zack Snyder’s upcoming sci-fi epic, Rebel Moon. Set for release on Netflix, Zack Snyder himself has released several new stunning pieces of concept art for the movie, which teases the kind of scope that will be needed for the divisive filmmaker’s original idea, which he has likened to both Star Wars and the work of Akira Kurosawa. Rebel Moon will tell the story of “a peaceful colony on the edge of the galaxy that is threatened by the armies of a tyrannical regent named Belisarius....

MOVIEWEB VIDEO OF THE DAY Return to Space, a documentary released by Netflix about the collaboration between NASA and SpaceX, was created by two award-winning filmmakers: Elizabeth Chai Vasarhelyi and Jimmy Chin. The two are a husband and wife team, and together they have worked on other documentaries like Meru and Free Solo, which both covered the topic of rock climbing. Another documentary, The Rescue, covers the cave divers who rescued a group of Thai teenagers trapped inside a cave....

So we can kick him to the curb now, right? Unfortunately not, because Alice (Madchen Amick) was already aware of Chic’s true origins, she had just been keeping them to herself....

The first teaser trailer has just been released for The Munsters, a movie that reboots the classic sitcom with Rob Zombie at the helm. Featuring the familiar theme song made famous by the original series, the new teaser introduces the three main cast members: Jeff Daniel Phillips as Herman Munster, Sheri Moon Zombie as Lily, and Dan Roebuck as The Count, aka Grandpa. Netflix has released a brand new trailer for Love, Death & Robots season 2. This is the sophomore season of the acclaimed animated anthology series. It comes from the minds of David Fincher (Seven, Mindhunter) and Tim Miller (Deadpool, Terminator: Dark Fate). While they are pulling the strings behind the scenes, the anthology format allows for different filmmakers to come in and plug something different into this universe. As we can see from this trailer, they appear to be pulling no punches for the upcoming season....

HBO’s Lovecraft Country had a stellar ten-episode run in the fall of 2020. Following Atticus Freeman and Letitia as they navigate cosmic eldritch horrors and the terrors of white supremacy, all while searching for Atticus’ father, this series is an adaptation of the novel of the same name written by Matt Ruff. Just one day after we reported that Fox is remaking the hit series Luther, BBC America announced that original star Idris Elba will reprise his title role in a new two-part mini-series debuting in 2015. NBC has ordered eight episodes of new reality Love in the Wild, targeting the dating franchise for next summer, according to variety. Love in the Wild is a mashup between The Bachelor and Survivor, with a little Temptation Island sprinkled on top. Ten men and 10 women looking for love will somehow pair up each week and compete in a series of physically and emotionally taxing competitions. Winning duos will then get a better chance to get to know each other in luxurious surroundings....
