On the heels of Outlander’s renewal for an eighth and final season, fans are still anxiously awaiting the return of the show’s seventh season, set to premiere this summer. Thankfully, the upcoming season will have twice the number of episodes as its predecessor, which means the stories explored are sure to be abundant. Over the past six seasons of the series, the storylines and characters have expanded beyond the time-traveling love story of Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire (Caitriona Balfe), and there’s even a prequel about Jamie’s parents in the works....

Percy Jackson, Annabeth, and Grover are off on an adventure in the latest images from the upcoming Percy Jackson and the Olympians Disney+ series. Shared to social media by Twitter user @HeyKarennM, the images find the trio filming in Vancouver, Canada (which has been cleverly made to look like New York City) and embarking on a quest to track down Zeus’ lightning bolt. A new video also shared to social media by Twitter user Percy Jackson News offers another look at the young heroes, and gives our first glimpse at them in action....

The Good They have given this movie the Platinum release it deserves. The Bad Some of the features were a little confusing to navigate through. The story of Peter Pan is such a part of American culture and lore that it seems only fitting that it gets a Platinum Release from Disney. After being told that it’s time she grows up, Wendy Darling and her brothers John and Michael are visited by Peter Pan Tinker Bell, and then whisked off to his Island so that Wendy can tell her stories and be a Mom to Peter’s men, the Lost Boys....

Pom Poko is Studio Ghibli’s weirdest anime film by a wide margin. This 1994 top box office smash in Japan was directed by Isao Takahata, the studio’s master animator who is often overshadowed by its other founder, Hayao Miyazaki. Most anime fans remember Takahata best for his heartbreaking war film Grave of the Fireflies and the beautiful, nostalgic tale of self-discovery Only Yesterday. Hee also directed one of the most aesthetically unusual Studio Ghibli movies (with its stylized, crude comic strip aesthetic), My Neighbors the Yamadas, and made the Oscar-nominating animated historical fantasy The Tale of the Princess Kaguya....

With Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen tearing up the box office, a third film seems more than likely, and we might see more of one of the film’s new human characters. The Los Angeles Times recently spoke with actor Ramon Rodriguez, who plays Leo Spitz, and director Michael Bay, who revealed that we should see more of his character in the next film. It seems that an upcoming Capcom video game adaptation is going to cost some big bucks to make. According to an interview with Capcom’s head of character contents business Toshihiro Tokumaru, a film adaptation of their video game, Lost Planet was said to cost between $150 and $200 million. Marvel Entertainment and Madhouse animation is teaming up to re-imagine the classic Marvel heroes for Japanese audiences. According to a report in The New York Times, four new anime series will be premiering in spring of 2010 based on the Marvel heroes. According to Simon Philips, president of Marvel International, the goal of the new anime series will be to create “something that is part of the fabric of society,” rather then simply making anime versions of the heroes as American audiences are used to them....

Meet the Robinsons is the heartfelt story of a boy trying to have a family. Lewis is an inventor with a big imagination and even bigger dreams. He travels in time to find his family and ends up having the adventure of his young lifetime when he comes across the Robinson clan....

Bungie, the owners of the Halo franchise posted a statement from Microsoft on their website about how Universal Pictures and 20th Century Fox have backed out of a deal to finance a big-screen adaptation of the popular video game: As a story in Hollywood newspaper Variety noted, Universal and Fox wanted to renegotiate the Halo movie deal at the 11th hour and Microsoft and its partners, Peter Jackson and Fran Walsh refused....

For four seasons, comedian Nathan Fielder put his business degree to hilariously good use for Nathan for You. The Comedy Central series had Fielder providing assistance to struggling businesses with highly unorthodox tactics, and the show somehow only got crazier as it went on. With the final episode of season 4 airing last year, fans had been hoping for some news on a potential season 5. Unfortunately, Comedy Central has confirmed that the series won’t be returning with new episodes, putting an end to the hysterical series....

In 1983, Vanessa Williams was crowned Miss America 1984, making history as the first Black woman to win the title. During her reign, and without her consent, Penthouse Magazine acquired and published photos of Williams that were taken before she was named Miss America. After receiving pressure from the Miss America organization, Williams resigned during a press conference weeks before the end of her year-long reign. Williams is now sharing her story for the small screen, Deadline reports....
