Ok, so my rant on why the movie, Annapolis, doesn’t work cannot be complete without the explanation that stars James Franco and Tyrese Gibson did not, and still do not, get along. To give you a perfect example of this, I was at the premiere of the film a few days ago; James walked down the red carpet, just ahead of Tyrese. Normally, the cast and crew takes pictures outside the theater before they enter (the big stars are usually the last to arrive on the carpet)....

The world of Peaky Blinders will continue beyond the upcoming sixth season with a movie, and creator Steven Knight has confirmed that Tommy Shelby will feature. A new trailer has been released for the new animated web series Puffins Impossible, a spinoff action series of the successful animated family/adventure show Puffins. Featuring the voice of Johnny Depp in the lead role of Johnny Puff, the animated series is produced by Iervolino & Lady Bacardi Entertainment (ILBE). The first season will consist of 18 episodes with Peter Nalli serving as the series showrunner and will be available starting April 9, 2022, and you can watch the trailer below....

Bravo reality personality Jen Shah has been sentenced to 78 months in federal prison. The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star plead guilty to fraud charges on July 11, 2022, stemming from a nearly decade-long telemarketing scheme. According to Variety, the U.S. Attorney’s office claimed that Shah was the leader of a “nationwide telemarketing fraud scheme that victimized thousands of innocent people.” During the July 11 hearing, Shah agreed to pay her victims, most of which were elderly, $9 million in restitution....

Her time with AMC Studios is far from over as she is heading back to the producer role and collaborating on a brand new series based on Rebecca Roanhorse’s Hugo Award-nominated fantasy novel, Black Sun. Ridley Scott and Steven Zaillian are teaming up to produce The Day Britain Stopped for 20th Century Fox. The project is based on the 2003 BBC pseudo-documentary of the same name, that followed a fake disaster which leads to a complete breakdown of England’s transportation system. Insiders stressed that this new version will not be a remake, but will be inspired by the original. Ridley Scott and Steven Zaillian will produce through their Scott Free and Film Rites production companies, with Garrett Basch executive producing....

This summer, filmmaker Kevin Smith revealed that he is turning the idea he had for a Mallrats 2 theatrical sequel to a 10-episode TV series. Now the filmmaker is ready to find the new TV series a home, revealing through social media today that he is starting to pitch his series this week with Universal Television. An Ohio man who reportedly believed Wheel of Fortune host Pat Sajak instructed him to kill his elderly mother by beating her beyond recognition has been found not guilty by reason of insanity. A judge made the ruling late this week in the murder case against 48-year old Derrick Williams. His defense attorney told the court that his client and the victim were arguing about the microwave when he grabbed the lead pipe and began beating her....
