Netflix recently caused fan outrage when it announced that the fourth season of the hit series GLOW had been canceled. The show, which takes a fictionalized look at the history of the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling TV series from the 1980s, had amassed a loyal fan following, and many were sad to discover the various storylines set up at the end of season three would now never get resolved. Marc Maron, who played the role of Sam Sylvia, creative showrunner of GLOW, took to Instagram to suggest a standalone movie to wrap up the show’s various dangling plot threads....

Mark Hamill is Geralt’s mentor Vesemir in some awesome new fan art images, and Hamill himself says he’s still game to play the character on Netflix original series The Witcher. In the fan art images, posted to Instagram by artists BossLogic and spdrmnkyxxiii, Hamill shines as Vesemir and it’s clear from both photos that the Star Wars star would be fantastic in the role. Avengers star Mark Ruffalo is on board to appear as The Incredible Hulk on the upcoming She-Hulk series for Disney+, and will soon have talks with Marvel Studios about his potential involvement. At this year’s D23 Expo, it was announced a live-action She-Hulk series was in development for Disney+, and the show would be set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. As Ruffalo has been playing Bruce Banner in every Avengers movie, this opens the door for him to reprise the role for She-Hulk, and some recent comments from the actor suggest there’s a really good chance we’ll be seeing his version of the Hulk on the series....

Original Scream star Matthew Lillard recently explained what he believes is the problem with the original 1996 film. The original Scream is considered to be a horror classic for many, especially in the slasher genre. It was directed by Wes Craven, a horror legend who directed the following three sequels. He also created the A Nightmare on Elm Street Franchise in the 1980s. Scream became iconic not only for being an incredibly entertaining thriller but also for the way it references other horror films....

Michael Giacchino is renowned for his work as a composer, lending his talent to countless projects across his multi-decade career. For some time now it has been known that Mission: Impossible 7 & 8 were to be the swansong of Tom Cruise’s Ethan Hunt. At least that is what everyone thought, but now director Christopher McQuarrie has cast doubt on the next round of Mission: Impossible movies being the end of Cruise’s run in the franchise. While there have been plenty of hints about the fate of Hunt in the new movies including reports to that effect earlier this year, it appears that it may not be the case....

Spider-man fans have been waiting for the second trailer for No Way Home for weeks now, with the release reported being delayed by a disagreement between Sony and Marvel as to whether or not the return of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield should be included in the new footage. While it looks like the decision was taken to not include them - because we are pretty much all going with the basis that they will appear in the movie - a traditional Marvel trailer misdirection seems to have gone slightly awry and revealed Andrew Garfied in the trailer - well, at least a dismembered part of him....

Scooby and the gang will meet an animated version of beloved actor and narrator Morgan Freeman in one of the greatest cartoon crossovers we’ve seen yet. Appearing in an episode of the new series Scooby-Doo and Guess Who?, Freeman can be seen meeting the members of Mystery Inc. in a video clip from his episode at ComicBook.com. “Jeepers, it’s award-winning actor, producer, and narrator Morgan Freeman!” the group exclaims in excitement when they stumble upon Freeman while chasing a spooky ghost....

Megyn Kelly Today has been canceled by NBC over the host’s recent comments on the use of blackface during Halloween. The network is currently in negotiations with Kelly’s lawyers over a severance package while she still remains an employee of NBC. The network hired Kelly from Fox News in January of 2017 for $69 million, which was seen by many as a risky gamble. Megyn Kelly has far different views than many that are shared on NBC and she was not afraid to share those sometimes controversial opinions with her guests and viewers....

Batman fans have been scampering all over themselves to find out more about Heath Ledger’s portrayal of the Joker in the upcoming The Dark Knight. But one person is less than pleased with the choice of casting. Jack Nicholson, who played the Joker in Tim Burton’s Batman told MTV Movies Blog that he was “furious” about not being asked back to the role. Nick at Nite will mark its first feature-film telecasts with the classic 1980s comedy adventures Crocodile Dundee and the acclaimed Planes, Trains & Automobiles starring Steve Martin and John Candy. The two feature films will premiere Tuesday, February 20 & 27 respectively from 9-11 p.m. (ET/PT), and will join the Nick at Nite programming line-up which recently added the popular family comedy series Growing Pains. Filmed in the Australian Outback and New York City, the 1986 mega-hit Crocodile Dundee, follows infamous rough-and-tumble crocodile hunter, Mick ‘Crocodile’ Dundee (Golden Globe winner Paul Hogan - Best Actor, Motion Picture Musical or Comedy), whose life changes when he meets a story-seeking American reporter Sue Charlton (Linda Kozlowski)....

For those who believe they have already been given a look at the surprises Disney+ series Obi-Wan Kenobi has to offer from the trailer, there are apparently a lot more to come as Grand Inquisitor actor Rupert Friend has revealed that there are a lot of “wonderful cameos” yet to be revealed when the show premieres next month. On Sunday, the 94th Academy Awards event occurred at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood, California. Although eight categories were awarded in a minor event before the show, something the three hosts—Regina Hall, Amy Schumer, and Wanda Sykes—joked about during the opening ceremony of the show, the Best Picture category was given its usual place of honor at the end of the show. Days after Showtime dropped a teaser for its American Gigolo adaptation, Paul Schrader took to social media to voice his opinion about the upcoming series. Schrader penned and directed the 1980 neo-noir American Gigolo, starring Richard Gere and Lauren Hutton, about a male escort framed for murder. Peace Arch Entertainment Group Inc. announced that it has entered into an agreement with Genius Products Inc. to jointly exploit all North American distribution rights to the feature film Goal II: Living the Dream, the successful international sequel to the hit Goal! The Dream Begins. Genius will handle US DVD exploitation. Peace Arch will release the film theatrically in the United States and Canada on 250 screens in the spring of 2008 and will handle all other rights....

Joining those in paying tribute to late actor and comedian Gilbert Gottfried is Problem Child director Dennis Dugan. Released in 1990, Problem Child was a dark comedy following a mischievous 7-year-old boy (Michael Oliver) who makes life miserable for everyone, including his adoption agent Mr. Peabody (Gottfried) and adoptive father (John Ritter). As one of Gottfried’s most memorable acting roles, Mr. Peabody was a character that he reprised for the sequels Problem Child 2 in 1991 and Problem Child 3: Junior in Love, as well as the animated series adaptation in the early 90s....

The CW Network has given an early renewal to its acclaimed freshman drama, Riverdale, for the 2017-18 season, it was announced today by Mark Pedowitz, President, The CW. On a competitive Thursday night, Riverdale posts tremendous ratings gains on a delayed viewing basis, particularly with its young skewing audience, growing 78% in adults 18-34 and 85% in women 18-34 in Live+7 day ratings over Live+Same Day. In the few weeks since its premiere, the buzzy drama has quickly become one of The CW’s most streamed shows on the network’s digital platforms, including The CW app and CWTV....

AMC ended The Walking Dead Season 6 with a huge cliffhanger, featuring the introduction of Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Negan, who picked one member of Rick’s (Andrew Lincoln) crew to kill. Unfortunately, fans didn’t see who was on the receiving end of his barbed wire bat dubbed Lucille, making fans wait months until the victim will be revealed during the Season 7 premiere on Sunday, October 23. The CW’s MadTV decided to put together a spoof of this cliffhanger, which drags out Negan’s decision even more....

IFC is bringing comedian and podcaster Marc Maron to the small screen this spring with a new ten episode scripted comedy series titled Maron. Based on Marc’s life and successful WTF podcast (WTFPod.com), each half hour episode chronicles Marc’s day-to-day struggle to maintain relationships other than the ones with his podcast audience and his beloved trio of cats. Maron premieres Friday, May 3 at 10:00pm ET/PT on IFC.
