According to Variety, Nickelodeon has greenlit Amy Poehler’s (“SNL”) Super Scout – revolving around an overly ambitious Honeybee (similar to a Girl Scout) – as well as the series pilot Diggs Tailwagger, a toon from former “SpongeBob SquarePants” creative director Derek Drymon. In Super Scout, Poehler will provide the voice of Bessie Higgenbottom, an optimistic scout obsessed with collecting badges and living out her superhero fantasies. Her single mom sings at the local bar while she drags her little brother and an eccentric group of friends on her adventures around San Francisco....

Fox 2000 is moving forward on a sequel to last year’s Percy Jackson & the Olympians: Lightning Thief, having hired screenwriters Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski to pen the follow-up. Percy Jackson & the Olympians: Lightning Thief was based on the first novel in Rick Riordan’s five-book series. The sequel will be based on the second book, The Sea Monsters. The script is still in the early development stages, with no director attached yet....

Famous funnyman Louie Anderson is battling cancer in the hospital. Per TMZ, Anderson is currently getting treatment at a Las Vegas hospital, with a rep confirming that he’s being treated for Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma. This disease is an aggressive cancer said to be the most common type of non-Hodkin lymphoma in the world, but the good news is that it’s considered “potentially curable.” According to his rep, Anderson is currently resting comfortably in his hospital bed....

Michael Chiklis has finally let it be known that he’d prefer for the storyline of the next Fantastic Four movie to focus on the team’s classic enemy from the comics, the Puppet Master. Speaking to MTV, Chiklis discussed why that would be his preference for Fantastic Four 3. “For selfish reasons, I would love to see Puppet Master happen, obviously,” he enthused, imagining the possibilities of a Ben Grimm-centered flick. “For those of you who know what I’m talking about, it would really tie in Alicia’s character and mine....

In a story from The Hollywood Reporter, as the deal between Ronald Tutor and investment group Colony Capital to buy Miramax Films for more than $650 million gets closer to completion, it now looks like Disney will handle domestic distribution of “any new Miramax titles for at least its first year, after which the new company would have its own infrastructure.” Tutor is presently seeking an executive to head the new company, which will be created from the ground up....

A new teaser for Moon Knight has just come in along with news that a full trailer is around the corner. On Twitter, Hulu posted a short video that includes some new footage, including our first look at Ethan Hawke as the villain opposite Oscar Isaac’s titular hero. As noted in the tweet, the full trailer for the show will be arriving on Monday, Jan. 17, during the NFL Super Wild Card matchup on ESPN and ABC Network....
