Horror TV is all the rage these days with the likes of The Walking Dead, Fear the Walking Dead, American Horror Story, and Ash Vs. Evil Dead all extremely popular. Deadline reports that there’s about to be a new series based off of Clive Barker’s 1990 horror classic Nightbreed. If that news isn’t already exciting enough, Clive Barker is involved with the development of the new series. In addition, it looks like a Dead Ringers show is in the works with the support of David Cronenberg....

An ominous new poster for the upcoming Disney+ series Obi-Wan Kenobi has Ewan McGregor’s exiled Jedi Master looking deeply concerned as the Dark Side edges ever closer. Released to Instagram by the official account for the Obi-Wan Kenobi series, the poster also offers a tiny glimpse of Darth Vader’s return, with the Sith Lord set to face off with his mentor and friend once again in what is sure to be one the most exciting moments in the Star Wars spinoff series....

The dice will roll in November. In a story from DavisDVD, Warner Home Video is going to be playing it cool November 13 when they bring out Ocean’s Thirteen. This release will be available on Standard, HD-DVD and Blu-ray Disc. Synopsis: The sequel to Ocean’s Eleven (2001) and Ocean’s Twelve (2004). Ocean’s Thirteen will be mostly filmed in a re-created casino on the Warner Bros. lot in Burbank, with some external scenes filmed in Las Vegas....

Oscar-winning actress Octavia Spencer has joined the cast of Baggage Claim for Fox Searchlight Pictures and writer-director David E. Talbert. We reported in May that Paula Patton will star as Montana Moore, a single flight attendant who is the oldest, unmarried woman in her family. She goes on a cross-country trek to find a husband in 30 days, before her younger sister gets hitched. No details were given regarding Octavia Spencer’s character....

Futurama fans can breathe a big sigh of relief as there will be no need to recast the show. According to Variety, Futurama voice actors Katey Segal, Maurice LaMarche and Tress MacNeille have all signed on for the new order of episodes to be shown on Comedy Central. It was said that the other two main voice actors, Billy West and John DiMaggio, were expected to ink their deals shortly....

Schitt’s Creek was created by father-and-son duo Dan Levy and Eugene Levy. While it was on the air from January 2015 to April 2020, it really rose to fame after dropping on Netflix, when even more people were able to enjoy the Rose family. Once wealthy, this group faced many struggles after moving into a motel in Schitt’s Creek, a town they bought as a joke. Over the course of its six seasons, this series set records for the most Emmy nominations received by a comedy in its final season and for winning all the major acting categories at the 72nd Primetime Emmy Awards....

Producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli of EON Productions Ltd and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures have today announced that Peter Morgan (Frost/Nixon, The Queen), Neal Purvis and Robert Wade (Quantum of Solace, Casino Royale) will be the screenwriters of the 23rd James Bond adventure. Daniel Craig will reprise his role as Ian Fleming’s James Bond 007 in the film, which will be a MGM release of an EON production. Bond 23 is the latest installment in the longest-running franchise in motion picture history and will be produced by Michael G....

It seems nothing can stop a Latin-accented orange tabby cat with the right pair of boots. The finale animated feature of Puss’s adventure titled Puss in Boots: The Last Wish (2022) has been performing remarkably well since its release in theaters late last year. Per a report from Collider, the film has now grossed over $334 million worldwide at the box office. Upon reaching the $300 million threshold, it now stands as one of just three animated films that have reached that mark in the pandemic era, the other two being Illumination productions Minions: The Rise of Gru (2022) and Sing 2 (2021)....

MOVIEWEB VIDEO OF THE DAY Red Notice didn’t exactly get the seal of approval from critics for its over-the-top generic action plot, but that didn’t seem to matter at all to audiences, as has been the case for many movies recently. In the first 28 days, the movie managed to pull in over 360 million watched hours, putting it ahead of previous Netflix record-holder Bird Box. All in all, the film provides a couple of hours of escapism and that is something that everyone has needed this year....

Movie Picture Every so often, something comes along that makes me wonder how it managed to only go to video. Something that, while I’m glad to see it on shelves, really makes me shake my head in bafflement as I wonder how something so good got passed up for theatrical release. Ridley Scott has committed himself to direct and produce a new Blade Runner movie for Warner Bros. and Alcon Productions. We reported back in March that Warner Bros. is looking to make both an unknown number of prequels and sequels to this sci-fi classic, and it isn’t known which one Ridley Scott will tackle first. The director will start on this new Blade Runner after he finishes work on Prometheus, which is slated for release on June 8, 2012....

The Good A very well crafted show that does the Western genre proud. The Bad No special features. Sometimes I think they should have gotten rid of the triumphant music. Michael Biehn and Ron Perlman lead the cast in this TV version of The Magnificent Seven – The Complete First Season. Not a TV movie but a TV show, and not as good as the original movie by John Sturges, this show did seem to have a lot more going for it than it’s two season run would suggest....

The iconic 1980s TV series Magnum P.I. is coming back to the small screen from producers John Rogers and Eva Longoria at ABC. Instead of a traditional reboot, this new TV series will not focus on Thomas Magnum, originally played by Tom Selleck, but instead center on his daughter, Lily “Tommy” Magnum. John Rogers will write the script and executive produce with Eva Longoria through her UnbeliEVAble Entertainment company, along with Ben Spector and Kung Fu Monkey’s Jennifer Court, for Universal TV....

MTV recently talked with Wanted 2 co-creator Mark Millar. Among the topics of discussion was how the story of the sequel would fair without Angelina Jolie’s involvement. Millar also discussed filling the void with another interesting character. “They killed off the most recognizable character, but I thought it was great to do that,” Mark Millar stated. “It was so ballsy to kill off the one person you didn’t expect to die....

There has been much speculation that Martin Freeman, star of the original UK version of The Office, will take the lead as Bilbo Baggins in The Hobbit. The actor has officially signed onto co-star in Animals, directed by Marcal Fores. According to Variety, he will be done shooting the fantasy-laced coming of age tale long before The Hobbit begins production, so there is still a chance that he will be appearing in Peter Jackson’s long delayed prequel....
