MTV: Music Television announced today that revolutionary, Emmy Award winning producer, Mark Burnett will executive produce the 2007 MTV Movie Awards. The network also announced that for the first time in Movie Awards history, the sixteenth annual show will premiere live on MTV, Sunday June 3rd from Los Angeles, California. With the legendary golden popcorn up for grabs in such eccentric categories as “Best Kiss,” “Best Villain,” and “Best Comedic Performance,” along with the debut of several new awards, the 2007 MTV Movie Awards promises to be as memorable as ever....

You can bring a whole new dimension to this horror remake on DVD and Blu-ray this May. My Bloody Valentine 3D will be released on DVD and Blu-ray on May 19. We have no pricing details or cover art as of yet, but we do know that the film will include both the 2D and 3D versions of the film, and there will be four sets of 3D glasses included. Netflix has just made history once again, with Deadline revealing that the streaming service reportedly shelled out a whopping $2 million per episode for the exclusive streaming rights to NBC’s The Blacklist. Season 1 of the hit series, which stars James Spader, Megan Boone, Diego Klattenhoff, Ryan Eggold, Harry Lennix and Parminder Nagra, will be available to Netflix subscribers next weekend, giving fans plenty of time to catch up before Season 2 kicks off Monday, September 22 at 10 PM ET on NBC....

DNA Films, Fox Searchlight Pictures and Film4 announced that principle photography on Never Let Me Go commenced today in the UK. The film stars Keira Knightley, Carey Mulligan, Andrew Garfield, Charlotte Rampling, Sally Hawkins, Nathalie Richard and Andrea Riseborough. Mark Romanek (One Hour Photo) directs, with Alex Garland (28 Days Later, Sunshine) adapting the screenplay from critically acclaimed author Kazuo Ishiguro’s novel; both also serve as executive producers. Andrew Macdonald and Allon Reich are producing for DNA Films where the project was developed....

It seems director Rob Zombie is shaking things up with his remake sequel H2. MTV Movies Blog was recently on the set of the new film, where Zombie told them he was replacing the iconic theme music for this sequel. “We’re going to do something completely different,” Zombie told the site. “We haven’t gotten to that point yet so we could change our minds, but we want to do something totally different....

In what might be one of his most entertaining roles yet, Nicolas Cage will play Count Dracula in the upcoming movie Renfield. Primarily following Nicholas Hoult (Mad Max: Fury Road) as the titular henchman, the film also stars Awkwafina (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings) and Ben Schwartz (Sonic the Hedgehog). The film is based on an original outline by The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman and is directed by Chris McKay (The Tomorrow War, The LEGO Batman Movie)....

It was reported back in June that George A. Romero’s shambling zombie horde would be returning to screens in a new unofficial sequel, Night of the Living Dead Part II, which is written and directed by Marcus Slabine and was shot pretty much in secret this year. While unofficial sequels usually don’t amount to much, this one does have something going for it, as it reunites three actors from Romero’s own Night of The Living Dead sequel Day of the Dead....

Patton Oswalt is the latest actor to join the cast of Odd Thomas for Fusion Films and director Stephen Sommers. The comedian will portray Oswald “Ozzie” P. Boone, an artist and sculptor who made a steel pendant that the title character (Anton Yelchin) wears around his neck. Addison Timlin, Willem Dafoe, and Nico Tortorella are in talks to join the cast, although their deals have not yet closed. Stephen Sommers will direct from his own screenplay, which is adapted from the novel of the same name written by Dean R....

Oliver Hudson, Bianca Kajlich, Megyn Price, David Spade and Patrick Warburton star in Rules of Engagement, a new comedy series that premieres Monday, Feb. 5 (9:30-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Emmy Award winner Tom Hertz (“The Dennis Miller Show”) is the series creator. Rules of Engagement is a comedy about the different phases of male/female relationships, as seen through the eyes of a newly engaged couple, Adam and Jennifer, a long-time married pair, Jeff and Audrey, and a single guy on the prowl, Russell....

Elizabeth Mitchell has signed on for a mysterious role in Once Upon a Time’s new Frozen story line that will be featured in Season 4. While details regarding her character have not been confirmed, Elizabeth Mitchell is believed to be playing a “possibly malevolent” character who has ties to both sisters Anna (Elizabeth Lail) and Elsa (Georgina Haig). She will also have connections to both Once Upon a Time’s Storybrooke setting and Frozen’s Arendelle....

The Outlander prequel series is officially moving forward at Starz. On Thursday, it was reported by Variety that Starz has put in the series order for Outlander: Blood of My Blood, a new show that serves as a prequel to the original Outlander. The new series is said to explore the love story between Jamie Fraser’s parents, serving as the Outlander version of How I Met Your Mother. Outlander: Blood of My Blood is executive produced by Outlander EP and showrunner Matthew B....

We have known since October that the hit HBO series Boardwalk Empire is returning for Season 3 later this year, although one actress will not be coming back. Paz de la Huerta has been let go by HBO, with the network declining to pick up her option for Season 3. Paz de la Huerta played Lucy Danzinger on the series, who started out as the mistress of Steve Buscemi’s Nucky Thompson in Season 1....

A new film has just rounded out its cast of gods, literally. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Pierce Brosnan, Uma Thurman, Sean Bean, Kevin McKidd and Melina Kanakaredes have all joined the cast of Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief. The quintet of actors will all be portraying classical Greek gods in the film, with Brosnan playing Chiron, Thurman portraying Medusa, Bean taking on Zeus, McKidd as Poseideon and Kanakaredes as Athena....

Actor Pierce Brosnan will star in the next project from Danish director Susanne Bier entitled All You Need Is Love. Susanne Bier will direct from her own script, and it is said that the filmmaker wrote the part with Pierce Brosnan in mind. No plot details were given, although this will be a romantic comedy that centers on a Danish family. It isn’t clear yet if this will be an English-language project, Danish or bilingual....

Warner Bros. has just released a brand new online game for the upcoming remake A Nightmare on Elm Street, which will be released in theaters nationwide on April 30. Model Marisa Miller has signed on to make her feature debut with the comic book adaptation R.I.P.D. for Universal Pictures. The project centers on the Rest In Peace Department, a police force comprised of slain police officers who ferry unwilling spirits into the underworld. Marisa Miller will portray the human avatar of Jeff Bridges’ character, how he is seen when the ghost takes an earthly form. Jeff Bridges partners up with Ryan Reynolds, a newcomer to the unit who seeks revenge against the man who killed him....

The years-long awaited return of HBO’s genre-bending, surrealistic series Random Acts of Flyness is right around the corner. On Wednesday, filmmaker extraordinaire Terence Nance and HBO finally shared the official trailer and poster for season two of the highly acclaimed series via Twitter, finally offering fans the first look into the next iteration. Unlike last month’s teaser, the almost minute and thirty-second clip provides more insight into the tantalizing “new rituals [and] six dimensions” in store for viewers ahead of the second season....

New York Comic Con happened recently, and among the many elaborate cosplay artists and celebrities, it is likely you caught a glimpse of Robert Franzese mulling around the stalls and exhibitions. If you don’t recognize the name, then you may know him better as the “Real Life Peter Griffin”, because not only has Franzese made a 10 year career of making appearances as the Family Guy character, but has also met numerous celebrities and taken over TikTok and other social media with the persona, which sees him not just looking like Seth McFarlane’s Homer Simpson-esqe creation but also do a pretty spot on vocal impersonation as well....
