NBC has handed out a put pilot order for the new show Temps from Party Down creators Rob Thomas, John Enbom and Dan Etheridge, according to Variety. Rob Thomas, John Enbom and Dan Etheridge will all write the pilot script and executive produce the pilot. Jennifer Gwartz and Danielle Stokdyk, who were also Party Down executive producers, will executive produce the pilot as well. The site reports that the show will center on a group of recent college graduates who are forced to work a variety of temp jobs....

The Powerpuff Girls is getting another spectacular reboot, not just in their original cartoon world. In 2021, The CW shot a pilot episode for a live-action version of The Powerpuff Girls. And the whole thing became very public when the script for the episode was leaked. Unfortunately, since then, the show has experienced difficulties. Actors have dropped out. Funding has faltered. The entire pilot episode needs to be reshot. But according to news from The CW, the show is still alive and in the works to shoot another pilot....

Prison Break and 24 will air in their entirety Monday night following live FOX News coverage of President Bush s address to the nation (8:00-8:20 PM ET/7:00-7:20 PM CT/6:00-6:20 PM MT/5:00-5:20 PM PT) on the FOX network. In the Eastern and Central time zones, the season finale of Prison Break and the season’s penultimate episode of 24 each will air 20 minutes later than previously announced. There are no changes to the previously announced primetime schedule in Mountain Time and Pacific Time, since primetime in those time zones is not impacted by the President s speech....

Three decades on from the original series, Quantum Leap is returning to screens for a brand new series that will connect to the classic sci-fi show that starred Scott Bakula and Dean Stockwell. A year has passed since the sensational finale of The Mandalorian season 2 broke the internet. Martin Scorsese is aiming to make his next film Silence, an adaptation of the novel by Japanese writer Shusaku Endo, according to Production Weekly. This is a long-gestating project for Scorsese, who together with Jay Cocks wrote a first draft of a screenplay around a decade ago. He had originally intended to direct it after Gangs of New York but instead decided to make The Departed. Silence is set in sixteenth century Japan, where Portuguese missionaries must contend with traders from rival European nations and the persecution of Christians by Japanese feudal lords....

Fritz Lang’s 1927 sci-fi classic Metropolis will be re-released on both DVD and Blu-ray in a fully-restored “complete” edition on November 16. This new release will contain 25 minutes of lost footage which was found in a museum in 2008, making this 147-minute version the most complete version of the film since it’s initial premiere. The new DVD will be priced at $29.95 SRP while the new BD will be priced at $39....

The upcoming Michael Jackson biopic, simply called Michael, has just taken a big step forward. Deadline reports that the film, which delves into the story of the world-famous musician known as the King of Pop, has had its worldwide distribution rights picked up by Lionsgate. It’s still not known when the film will be released. Michael is written by Oscar-nominated writer John Logan, whose other film credits include Gladiator, Any Given Sunday, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, Skyfall, and Spectre....

A new rumor claims that Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown has had “informal” conversations with Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy, with the young actress hoping to join the Star Wars franchise. According to The Mirror, Brown and her father and manager Robert are keen for the Stranger Things actress to add her name to the Star Wars roster, with Brown reportedly eager to feature in either a movie, or play a central role in one of the upcoming Disney+ projects....

DreamWorks Animation SKG, Inc. (NYSE: DWA) and PepsiCo’s SoBe Lifewater today announced that they have joined together with Intel Corporation and NBC to create a first-of-its kind, nationwide ‘Monstrous’ 3D event for Super Bowl XLIII. This first-ever all 3D Super Bowl commercial break event will mark the debut of DreamWorks Animation’s premier 3D movie trailer for its upcoming feature film, Monsters Vs. Aliens which comes to theaters in the U.S. on March 27th....

Marvel’s Moon Knight will be influenced by the works of Steven Spielberg, Alfonso Cuarón’s Children of Men and horror movies like The Descent and The Exorcist, directors Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead revealed recently. The six-episode limited series, which stars Oscar Isaac as the titular antihero Marc Spector/Moon Knight, will debut on Disney+ on March 30. Early reviews have confirmed what Kevin Feige and the rest of the cast of Moon Knight have been saying about the show: it’s one of Marvel’s most unique series yet....

Nate Parker talks about the film and working alongside Denzel and Forest. Nate Parker is an up and coming young actor, and when you’re and up and coming young actor, it certainly doesn’t hurt your status when you’re acting alongside Oscar winners Denzel Washington and Forest Whitaker. Parker did just that alongside those industry heavyweights in the film The Great Debaters, which comes to DVD on May 13. I had the chance to speak with Parker over the phone about his role in this powerful film, and here’s what he had to say....
