The free streaming service Pluto TV has just announced a huge expansion that will more than triple the amount of CBS content that is currently available. The deal will see 6,300 new episodes added for various shows from CBS franchises, and they’re expected to all become available for streaming by the end of the year. Star Trek, Cheers, and Frasier are also coming to Pluto TV for the first time as a result of the deal, while new seasons and episodes will be added for other shows that have been available in a limited capacity, such as Criminal Minds, Rachael Ray, The Twilight Zone, and many more....

Lionsgate has picked up domestic distribution rights to the Matthew McConaughey-starring legal thriller The Lincoln Lawyer, based on Michael Connelly’s best-selling tome, according to Variety. Brad Furman is directing the pic from an adapted screenplay by John Romano. New additions to the cast are Marisa Tomei, Ryan Phillippe and William H. Macy. The 2010s were a time of explosive change in the movie industry. Today’s powerhouse franchises — the Marvel cinematic universe in particular — experienced massive growth during this decade, changing the definition of what it means for a movie to be successful (is it successful or is it Endgame successful?) With multi-billion dollar franchises flowering into new life, it was easy for smaller, independent films to fall by the wayside. This doesn’t mean that there was any shortage of fantastic small-scale movies in the 2010s; it only means that it’s worth calling attention to those that haven’t gotten the recognition they deserve....
Narcos: Mexico season 3 is officially happening at Netflix. However, there have been some changes on screen, along with behind-the-scenes. For one, Diego Luna will not be returning.
