In a season full of wildly ambitious and at times muddled narratives, the Vat of Acid episode is seen as a standout, where Rick invents a device for Morty to go back in time repeatedly to correct past mistakes....

Oscar, Emmy, and Tony-winning actress Rita Moreno has just boarded Fast X in a major role. Taking to Instagram, Fast and Furious franchise star Vin Diesel announced the movie’s newest casting in a video of the actor joined by Moreno. In the video, which you can watch below, Diesel reveals that Moreno plays the grandmother of his character, Dominic Toretto. Their co-star Michelle Rodriguez is also standing by to celebrate the casting announcement....

The MCU’s first holiday-themed special, The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special has just released on Disney+ and it has blessed us with a fun Christmas adventure involving none other than Kevin Bacon himself. Although rare, especially in a franchise in which aliens, wizards, and robots are commonplace, this is actually not the first time an MCU movie or show has featured a cameo from a celebrity appearing as themselves....

Instead of the usual Avengers adventure, MCU Phase 5 is set to conclude with Thunderbolts in 2024. While it is another superhero team-up movie, the Thunderbolts are supposed to be a different kind of team. A bit of a switch, the Thunderbolts were Marvel’s answer to DC’s Suicide Squad, and ever since their introduction in 1997’s The Incredible Hulk #449, the team has always been composed of villains. Although the team doesn’t have fundamental members like Iron Man or Thor for the Avengers, the seven confirmed members of the MCU’s Thunderbolts offer great insight into the team and will be compared to the MCU Avengers team pre-Endgame....

However, given Marvel’s choice not to recast the character when Chadwick Boseman passed away in August 2020, the plot would have to be altered. Last Friday, a judge in London’s High Court of Justice ruled in the libel case that has come to be known as “Wagatha Christie.” The case involved two WAGs (an acronym for “wives and girlfriends,” for the uninitiated), Rebekah Vardy and Coleen Rooney, the wives of England international soccer players Jamie Vardy and Wayne Rooney, respectively. The judge ruled that Rebekah Vardy, who alleges she had been libeled by Coleen Rooney when the latter accused her of leaking stories about the Rooneys’ private lives to a national newspaper in 2019, was incorrect....

The legal problems between New Line and Peter Jackson continue. According to Home Media Magazine, it seems that New Line Home Entertainment was given a $125,000 fine on September 18 “for failing to save required documents and e-mails related to its legal dispute with director Peter Jackson over proceeds from DVD sales and foreign box office receipts for its Lord of the Rings trilogy.” Apparently, “the judge in the case required New Line last year to provide licensing and sales data related to the case....

It was only a short time ago that Marvel Executives said that R-rated films weren’t going to be a part of their strategy going forward, and it seems like Warner Brothers and DC comics are following suit. According to a source inside the studio known to our friends at IESB.net, Warner Brothers has also sworn off doing R-rated tentpole films. This decision most likely is one of economics. Iron Man and The Dark Knight both had incredibly good box-office takes, as have other PG-13 superhero films like Batman Begins, Fox’s X-Men trilogy, and Sony’s Spider-Man films....

You can explore the life of one of the greatest rappers of all time on DVD and Blu-ray this April. Notorious will be released on DVD and Blu-ray on April 21. The film will be released in a barebones single-disc edition ($29.98 SRP), a three-disc Collector’s Edition ($34.98 SRP) and the Blu-ray edition ($39.99 SRP). All editions of the film will come with both the theatrical cut and director’s cut, which includes six additional minutes....
