Music icon and former Beatle Paul McCartney took some time to lend support to his friend Johnny Depp in the middle of a live show. On May 2, McCartney was performing the song “My Valentine” at the Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle for the fans in attendance. All throughout the song, footage of Depp playing guitar could be seen playing on the large screen behind McCartney. Depp was featured in the original music video for the song....

Lionsgate, the leading independent filmed entertainment studio, announced today that Twisted Pictures commenced principal photography this week in Toronto, Canada on Repo! The Genetic Opera!. The film is being produced by Daniel Heffner, Carl Mazzocone, Mark Burg and Oren Koules. Lionsgate’s President of Acquisitions and Co-Productions Peter Block and EVP Jason Constantine are overseeing production for the studio. Darren Lynn Bousman (Saw II, Saw III, Saw IV) is directing from a screenplay by Terrence Zdunich and Darren Smith, co-creators of the original stage production of the same name upon which the film is based....

Dearest reader, it appears that Netflix and Shondaland are expanding the world of Bridgerton with a spinoff series that will surely delight you! Last May, Netflix announced that an untitled Queen Charlotte spinoff series is in the works. The spinoff now has an official title and will be called Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story. The story will follow the young Queen’s life before royalty. Bridgerton’s showrunner, and founder of Shondaland, Shonda Rhimes, will be writing and producing the eight-episode series with longtime partners Tom Verica and Betsy Beers joining as executive producers....

Before reading anymore, there are spoilers below if you haven’t seen last night’s episode of The Walking Dead! It was a massive send off for Andrew Lincoln’s Rick Grimes on the show where he took center stage for more than 9 seasons. As many thought the character’s death was imminent, the surprise took us all at the end when Rick survived his wounds. The show then of course took a major time jump forward without him, but one thing was perfectly clear....

If you’re a fan of classic comedy, it’s been a good week. Not only is Rick Moranis reprising his role as Dark Helmet on an upcoming episode of The Goldbergs, but he is now confirmed for Netflix’s SCTV Comedy Special. The special was announced recently and will be directed by Martin Scorsese. Getting Moranis on board was the last missing piece of the puzzle and now he’s locked in. The fact that Rick Moranis is coming back for the reunion is significant....

Rob Zombie has confirmed that The Munsters will be making its streaming debut on Netflix on the same day as its physical copy release. On Sept. 27, 2022, the film will hit digital, Blu-ray, and DVD, allowing fans to own their own copy if they’d rather not subscribe to Netflix. Exactly one month ahead of that day, Zombie took to Instagram to share a new sneak peek image of the film featuring Sheri Moon Zombie as Lily Munster....

Mark Wahlberg has come aboard to produce and possibly star in the mafia drama When Corruption Was King for Paramount Pictures. The actor will produce alongside Stephen Levinson and Temple Hill Entertainment’s Marty Bowen and Shane McCarthy. It isn’t known if Mark Wahlberg will attach himself to star yet, although it remains a possibility. We reported just last week that Mark Wahlberg is producing and possibly starring in Bait and Switch for Universal Pictures....

Academy Award nominee-turned-aged action superstar Liam Neeson transports his particular set of skills to 1930s Los Angeles in the newly released trailer for Marlowe. A gritty, neo-noir thriller, the trailer comes courtesy of Open Road Films, who have also unveiled a new poster alongside the footage. A poster that harkens back to the Golden Age of Hollywood. Set in late 1930s Los Angeles, Marlowe centers around a street-wise, down-on-his-luck detective, Philip Marlowe, played by Liam Neeson, who is hired to find the ex-lover of a glamorous heiress (Diane Kruger), daughter of a well-known movie star (Jessica Lange)....

With the first half of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s Season 1 in the books, many fans are wondering if the show plans on using any Marvel comic book characters in 2014. While the show has featured Marvel characters such as Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury and Saffron Burrows’ Victoria Hand, the show hasn’t taken the same approach as CW’s Arrow, which had brought on several DC Comics characters. When asked if there are plans for more familiar characters popping up on the hit ABC series, Marvel’s TV head Jeph Loeb had this to say....

Home Entertainment, Inc., announced a multi-property alliance to bring the highly anticipated Warner Bros. television series Max Headroom and The Norm Show to the home entertainment marketplace. Under its multi-year agreement with Warner Home Video, Shout! Factory will be the exclusive media company to distribute Max Headroom and The Norm Show DVDs for home entertainment releases in the United States and Canada....

While director McG’s new film hasn’t hit theaters yet, he’s already talking about the sequel. Film Journal recently spoke to McG who revealed some interesting tidbits about a sequel to his upcoming film, Terminator Salvation, including that the second film might take place before Judgment Day as well.
