The Good A nicely put together release that tells you everything you could want to know about this film. The Bad No commentary from the the stars. Captain Jack Sparrow is back in the interesting (if sometimes a little long) Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest. The Captain owes his soul to Davy Jones (Bill Nighy) and his crew, and these guys are intent on him making good. Coming to his aid (against their will) are Will Turner (Orlando Bloom) and Elizabeth (Keira Knightly), who have their own issues to work out....

The latest Sci Fi Channel original series has rounded out its cast. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Lou Diamond Phillips, Ming-Na, Elyse Levesque and Alaina Huffman have all joined the cast of Stargate Universe. The acting quartet join the already-announced cast of Robert Carlyle, Justin Louis, David Blue, Jamil Walker Smith and Brian J. Smith on the series. The story will follow a group of survivors who, after being forced through a Stargate after their hidden ship was attacked, find themselves on an ancient vessel that’s already locked on an unknown destination, with no way to return to Earth....

Jaws is a great movie (maybe the greatest movie ever made, if you’re Quentin Tarantino). There had been so-called ‘shark movies’ before it (from The White Death in 1936 to Shark! in 1969), and even one masterpiece (Blue Water, White Death from 1971), but it was Jaws that seemed to popularize the concept. There have been several this year alone, including the pretty good The Reef: Stalked, and now there’s Maneater, from writer/director Justin Lee....

Everyone seems to agree that Taika Waititi’s Thor: Love and Thunder was far from impressive. Fans had high hopes at first. After all, Thor: Ragnarok was a vast improvement over the Norse hero’s previous two solo outings. Furthermore, Waititi seemed to be able to do no wrong in anything he did. Yet, the 2022 fourquel was a letdown. With that, many had decided they were done with the New Zealander’s involvement with Thor....

Spoiler Warning: MCU’s Eternals The MCU has finally acknowledged the end of Eternals. And this time, it was we who didn’t notice. Many Marvel fans have wondered how long it would have been for an Earth-shaking ending to Eternals to affect the Marvel Universe. It’s been quite some time. In a recent interview with KTVI, Robbie Montgomery, formerly of OWN network’s Welcome To Sweetie Pies, shared news of an upcoming music performance and more. Most notable were the octogenarian’s maternal sentiments regarding her son Tim Norman who has been charged in a murder-for-hire plot that resulted in the fatal shooting of her grandson Andre Montgomery in 2016. Unmoved by her son’s circumstances, Montgomery vows to continue supporting him. Norman, who was arrested along with four others and would have been the sole beneficiary of a $450,000 life insurance policy on his nephew, will go to trial in September....

Marvel Studios has been cautious when it comes to tailoring their content to fall in line with specific guidelines that allow most ages to enjoy, particularly under Disney’s banner. They have been wary when attempting to push boundaries and slowly ebb away from their near-predictable filmmaking format that has unfortunately dominated the reputation of the brand. Their efforts to protect their box-office revenue by projecting the superhero genre as ‘“family-friendly’’ has consequently stripped away fan expectations and creative freedom upon each upcoming film’s release....

Earlier on Wednesday, the team behind the Silent Hill horror franchise released the live Silent Hill Transmission, a broadcast that gave updates on upcoming games and merchandise. But another big announcement was also mixed in! A new movie adaptation based on the games is officially in the works, and it will see the return of director Christophe Gans and producer Victor Hadida! The full Transmission can be viewed below. Sony Pictures has unveiled some of the first artwork from the upcoming Milla Jovovich starrer, Ultraviolet, coming to theaters February 24th. Norman Lear is about to delve into the world of turnbuckles and tights for his new series. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Lear will bring his project revolving around 1970s professional wrestling to HBO. The project is tentatively titled “Everybody Hurts.” Aaron Blitzstein wrote the project which Lear’s Act III Productions is producing for HBO. The series will center on a family running a pro wrestling business in the 1970s and will also delve into the social climate of the 70s as well as looking at the sport and its fans....

When it comes to Marvel casting rumors, Norman Reedus being tapped to take on the role of Ghost Rider in the MCU is one that has done the rounds for a while, and even though he has a number of projects already on his slate, the Walking Dead star addressed the ongoing suggestions that he could well be the one to bring the Johnny Blaze to the MCU. Reedus is already down to film a second season of Ride With Norman Reedus, and has the upcoming Carol and Daryl Walking Dead spin-off to come, but that doesn’t mean he wouldn’t play Ghost Rider if Marvel came knocking, but for now, he says he just can’t say if it will happen....

That’s a wrap on NOS4A2. AMC has canceled the horror series after just two seasons, meaning we will not again be returning with Zachary Quinto to Christmasland, barring an unlikely turn of events. The series was based on the novel of the same name by author Joe Hill. The news was confirmed by showrunner Jami O’Brien on Twitter. Here’s what he had to say about it. NOS4A2 season 2 premiered earlier this year, with the final episode, which now serves as the series finale, airing on August 23....

Ozark is coming to an end on Netflix. The streaming service has renewed the hit drama series for a fourth and final season that will bring the Byrde family’s saga to a close. But fans of the show have reason to celebrate as season 4 of the show will be supersized, with Netflix expanding the episode order for its final run. All three previous seasons consisted of ten episodes. Ozark season 4 will feature 14, but those episodes will be split into two parts, with seven episodes each....
