Moon Knight is an upcoming American television miniseries based on the Marvel Comics superhero of the same name. It is the nineteenth television series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and an installment of Phase Four....

One of the main plotlines of 2021’s The Falcon and the Winter Soldier was Sam Wilson’s reluctance to take up the mantle of Captain America. Steve Rogers personally handed his shield to Sam at the conclusion of Avengers: Endgame, but the series opens with Sam refusing to accept the honor. One of the stars of The Office is moving to a cable drama. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Melora Hardin had landed the female lead on the F/X drama pilot Lights Out. Hardin will star opposite Holt McCallany in the pilot and Elias Koteas and Kevin Conway have been attached as leads as well. The pilot, written by Justin Zackham (The Bucket List), will revolve around McCallany’s character Patrick “Lights Out” Leary, a former boxing champion who now is struggling to support his wife (Hardin) and children....

Michael Bay told everyone about his preference for Blu-Ray over HD DVD last year, and now that the tide has turned in favor of Blu-Ray, he doesn’t mind at all reminding us of his proclamation. According to a story from Home Media Magazine the director spoke at Visual Effects Society’s award show, where he presented the award for animated character in a motion picture. “Blu-ray’s better, and I told everyone. The first trailer for Disney+ series Moon Knight has finally dropped, and teases a gloriously unhinged performance from the hugely talented Oscar Isaac. One aspect of this performance that has been picked up on by many is Isaac’s peculiar “cor-blimey” British accent, with Marvel fans having since taken to social media to praise, question, deride and criticize in equal measure. There have been several comparisons to infamous movie accents of old, including Dick Van Dyke’s much-maligned effort at crafting a cockney accent in Mary Poppins and Don Cheadle’s “apples and pears” attempt in the star-studded heist movie Ocean’s Eleven....

Sienna Miller will star in A Woman of No Importance for Myraid films. Other casting news coming from the studio has Sarah Polley, Paddy Considine, Debra Messing and Scott Speedman starring in Cry of the Owl, and Lena Headey starring in Six Bullets From Now. These announcements were part of Myriad Films’ Festival de Cannes presales lineup. Miller will play a 19-year-old American who finds herself falling in love with the womanizing Lord Illingworth (Sean Bean) in the Oscar Wilde adaptation Importance....

The streaming giant Netflix has released a new trailer teasing its 2023 slate. And it is looking pretty stacked. Coming courtesy of the official Netflix Twitter account, the footage reveals plenty of first looks and new looks at several major upcoming projects, including director Zack Snyder’s sci-fi epic Rebel Moon, the spy thriller Heart of Stone starring Gal Gadot, and The Killer from director David Fincher, this year looks to be an exciting one for Netflix as it fights to stay at the top (or at least near the top) against an ever-growing market of streaming platforms....

Next month, Emilie Dumay and Aurelien Leturgie’s new series, Gunther’s Millions, premieres on Netflix. The docuseries concerns a German shepherd named Gunther, who supposedly inherited $400 million from a mysterious countess. The story gets a bit more complicated than that with a colorful spread laid out by the project that exposes the real story behind this cute description. With its upcoming run of four one-hour episodes, Gunther’s Millions will join the ranks of Tiger King, The Tinder Swindler, The Making of a Murderer, and many other noted Netflix-produced investigative documentary miniseries....

Today, Starz set hearts aflutter with the release of a new trailer for Outlander, narrated by the hottest Scot around, Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan). The steamy trailer will play on big screens nationwide in front what is sure to be the most wildly seen movie of the weekend, Fifty Shades of Grey. The second half of Season 1 of Outlander returns Saturday, April 4th at 9PM ET/PT. Outlander spans the genres of romance, science fiction, history, and adventure as it follows Claire Randall (Caitriona Balfe), a married WWII combat nurse who mistakenly falls back in time to 1743....

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Science has just announced this year’s Academy Awards Show participants. This will mark its eightieth year celebrating and honoring outstanding achievements in film. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the new Star Wars DVD and video game generated an estimated $210 million in worldwide consumer spending their first week in stores, 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment said Tuesday. Those damn dirty apes are shifting release dates once again. 20th Century Fox has moved Rise of the Apes from the Thanksgiving slot on November 23 up to August 5. We reported in January that Rise of the Apes was moving from its June 24 date to November 23, where it would have opened against The Muppets. Rise of the Apes will now go up against the Universal Pictures comedy The Change-Up and Summit Entertainment’s The Darkest Hour....

Bill Maher is planning to strum up some good controversy and debate with his new untitled religious documentary. According to Variety, Lionsgate has bought the rights to the film project. Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan director Larry Charles, also a writer for Seinfeld, directed the film.
