Bob Iger has revealed that a Loki TV series starring Tom Hiddleston is in development. Iger also announced that the name of the Disney streaming service is Disney+, which really doesn’t come as that big of a surprise. However, the Loki series news is pretty big. Iger did not comment on the Scarlet Witch series, which is also reportedly in development at this time. Both Marvel shows were announced back in September, and fans have been trying to figure out how they will go forward after the events of Infinity War, since both characters didn’t survive....

Gameloft, a leading developer and publisher of games for mobile phones, has signed an exclusive multi-year agreement with Touchstone Television to develop, publish and distribute mobile games based on ABC’s award-winning series Lost and Desperate Housewives. “Gameloft is proud to partner with ABC Entertainment and Touchstone Television to bring the popular ‘Desperate Housewives’ and ‘Lost’ series to mobile gamers,” said Michel Guillemot, president, Gameloft. “We are excited to develop and deliver games based on these shows to over one billion mobile users worldwide....

Talking to MTV Movies Blog, Marvel’s editor-in-chief, Joe Quesada, discussed the possibility of an Avengers movie. “Strictly speaking as a fan, who wouldn’t want to see [an Avengers movie],” Quesada enthused. Despite his enthusiasm, Quesada was fast to point out that the chances of such a film being made were very slim indeed....

Marvel Studios has finally made an official announcement about Werewolf By Night, and it was well worth the wait. With many snippets of information being revealed over the last year, Marvel officially announced the Halloween special featuring the titular character at D23 Expo. Unexpectedly, this included a new trailer, a first poster and the revelation that it will stream on Disney+ from October 8. Taking its inspiration from 1930s and 1940s horror movies, Werewolf by Night once again delivers a Disney+ exclusive that is unlike anything else in the MCU....

Moon Knight is set to make a very big impact on the MCU when the six part limited series makes its debut on Disney+ next month, as not only will the series deliver a dose of dark, supernatural action to the franchise but according to Kevin Feige will also put the levels of brutality to the TV-14 limit. While the MCU has had its rough moments and is littered with fight scenes, it sounds like the Moon Knight is really going to see the franchise growing up and harness some new-found freedom on Disney+....

USA Network today announced that critically-acclaimed drama series Mr. Robot will return for its 10-episode third season on Wednesday, October 11 at 10/9c. The premiere date, along with the first image of Bobby Cannavale’s highly-anticipated character Irving and an exclusive Mr. Robot Season 3 trailer, were unmasked through a social media scavenger hunt orchestrated by the network. The trailer itself also features quite the appropriate song for this new season to get under way....

Production companies Roserock Films and Gran Via Productions have teamed up to bring the popular video game franchise Myst to the silver screen, according to Variety. The companies will also team with Adrian Vanderbosch and Isaac Testerman of Mysteria Film Group, who acquired the movie rights to the video game. Myst was first launched in 1993 and revolves around a secret civilization dubbed The D’ni, who have the ability to travel between different worlds....

The documentary Pelosi in the House debuts on HBO Max on Dec. 13. Award-winning documentarian Alexandra Pelosi produced and directed the film. Known for her political documentaries, she has earned four Emmy nominations for her documentary about George W. Bush’s 2000 campaign, Journeys with George. As described by HBO, the documentary follows Pelosi’s life in public office from her election to Congress in 1987. Furthermore, it covers the journey she took from 2007, when she became the first female Speaker of the House, to the 2020 election and the inauguration of President Biden....

Netflix has some out of the box promotional ideas. In a story from Home Media Retailing, the online renter recently showed off “a collection of special holiday editions of the Netflix trademark red envelope, featuring original artwork by some of Hollywood’s most prominent filmmakers and actors, including Leonardo DiCaprio, Charlize Theron, Peter Jackson, Orlando Bloom and Martin Scorsese.” The envelopes containing the artwork began shipping December 4. They were created in partnership “with Scorsese’s non-profit organization, The Film Foundation....

The hit Netflix series Surviving Summer has gotten the green light for a second season. The series will premiere on the streaming giant in the latter half of 2023. The first series consisted of ten episodes; reportedly, the second series will continue that trend. In Surviving Summer, Summer is made to live with a family who is friends of her mother’s for six weeks in the Australian town of Shorehaven. Summer first resisted staying there, but after experiencing an epiphany about her life, she began to appreciate the people and the community....

Two stars from the hottest summer TV series, Netflix’s Stranger Things, teased new details about the highly-anticipated second season at New York Comic Con today. Millie Bobby Brown (Eleven) and David Harbour (Sheriff Jim Hopper) were present during an NYCC panel, with both sharing stories from the set, while teasing that Stranger Things Season 2 will be “insane.” During the NYCC panel (via Vanity Fair), David Harbour revealed that he recently received the first few scripts for the new season, teasing, “It’s insane....
