Netflix has just released the official trailer for White Noise. Based on the book by Don DeLillo, the film is written, directed, and produced by Noah Baumbach, the filmmaker behind movies like Greenberg, Mistress America, and Marriage Story. Baumbach also co-wrote the upcoming Barbie movie with Greta Gerwig, who has a role in White Noise alongside Adam Driver. Netflix has confirmed a Season 3 renewal for House of Cards just 10 days before Season 2 of the hit drama series is set to debut on the streaming service. Production will begin very soon, though Netflix has not revealed how many episodes are contained in this new order. The deal comes after months of intense negotiations. When Netflix picked up the show in March 2011, they ordered 26 episodes, to be split into two 13-episode seasons....

Watching a movie premiere has undergone many changes over the years, and will likely keep changing in the future. A few years ago, there was only one way to watch a new movie: in theaters. Moviegoers would eagerly wait for weeks for the movie to premiere at the cinema, where they would be able to watch it with friends and family on the big screen. Hulu’s recent satirical comedy movie Not Okay focuses on a protagonist that the audience dislikes from the very beginning. It is rare to find such a main character, but Danni Sanders, played by Zoey Deutch, is a big-time fraud who can be quite tone-deaf. IronWatch24/7 is reporting that even though the first Iron Man pulled in almost $600 million worldwide, and with Iron Man 2 set to bow May 7th (to probably higher box office receipts than the original), Paramount Pictures and Marvel Studios are rebooting the franchise. It seems the two studios want to go in a different direction with the property. It also appears that McG (Terminator Salvation) is being courted quite heavily to direct this project, and he wants WWE wrestling star/actor John Cena (The Marine) to play the title role....

Mad Max: Fury Road director George Miller has provided an update on the development of a sequel. Speaking with Variety, Miller revealed that he does have a story in mind for Mad Max 5 (currently titled Mad Max: The Wasteland), though there is still a lot of work to be done before Max Rockatansky rides again. Released in 2015, Mad Max: Fury Road reignited George Miller’s iconic franchise, sending the titular character as he joins forces with Charlize Theron’s Imperator Furiosa to flee from cult leader Immortan Joe and his army in an armoured tanker truck....

The holiday season is about to get a little wild. Dreamworks has just released the teaser for an upcoming holiday special starring the young versions of the hit 2005 film Madagascar from the animated series Madagascar: A Little Wild. The teaser for Holiday Goose Chase, as well as the synopsis, is available below. Matthew McConaughey plays the dual role of star and producer on the new comedy Surfer, Dude, which Anchor Bay Entertainment has acquired for release in the U.S. Anchor Bay Entertainment President Bill Clark announced the deal today. Anchor Bay Entertainment plans to release McConaughey’s Surfer, Dude late this summer followed by release on DVD and other home entertainment formats.
