Yesterday, Friday, July 19, AMC’s Preacher invaded San Diego Comic Con with a panel featuring Executive Producer Seth Rogen, in addition to cast members Dominic Cooper, Ruth Negga, Julie Ann Emery and Mark Harelik to celebrate the upcoming fourth and final season launching with two back-to-back episodes on Sunday, August 4 at 9pm ET, and released new images and a season trailer. The remainder of the season will air at its normal time, on Sundays at 10pm ET on AMC....

Moviehole.net recentrly got ahold of producer Jordan Kerner (“Charlotte’s Web”, “George of the Jungle 2”) to talk about his upcoming projects, including an upcoming Smurfs feature film. “It’s a 3-D/CG Smurfs”, said Kerner. “You just can’t make those guys live - it’d be a little weird, but a 3D Shrek world of them - that’s fantastic.” Kerner says he has been researching the popular 80s cartoon extensively. “Having seen all 234 episodes of the show, numerous times, Herb Ratner and I have been working really hard at looking where all the holes were in the episodes - ya’know, like all of a sudden another woman appears, it’s not just smurfette - and what we’ve done is we’ve plugged all those holes in a trilogy of three movies, and we reveal things as we go along”....

Actor Matthew Perry has opened up about his opioid addiction, sharing new details about the time he was hospitalized in 2018. At the time, it was only divulged that Perry had suffered a gastrointestinal perforation. In his upcoming memoir, Friends, Lovers and the Big Terrible Thing, Perry reveals that the situation was actually much more serious than that. In fact, Perry’s colon had burst and nearly killed the Friends star, a result of the damage he’d been doing to his body through opioid abuse....

Bringing Dr. Evil out of retirement for a Super Bowl commercial was always going to lead to one question: Is Mike Myers planning an Austin Powers comeback? It is now twenty years since Myers last appeared on the big screen as Austin Powers, Dr. Evil and a number of other characters including the titular Goldmember in the third film of the series. According to the actor, he would love to bring the retro spy back for Austin Powers 4, but for now, he cannot confirm or deny the existence of such a project that may or may not be under consideration....

Missi Pyle has been tapped to star in ABC’s comedy pilot Traveling in Packs. The show revolves around three women in their 30s (Virginia Williams, Shawnee Smith, Pyle) who find out that living together has benefits and is a lot more fun than living alone, says The Hollywood Reporter. Dondre Whitfield and Christine Woods have joined CBS’ comedy pilot Atlanta; it revolves around a man (Freddie Prinze Jr.) and woman (Leslie Bibb) who meet at a funeral and can’t seem to stay away from each other....

Academy Award winner Jared Leto transforms into Morbius the Living Vampire in the final trailer for Sony’s next installment in their shared Spider-Man universe. Morbius, which is due for release at the beginning of April, will introduce Leto as the Sony-Verse’s latest antihero, a scientist who becomes a blood-thirsty vampire following an experiment. When will these Marvel characters learn that experimenting on oneself never works out the way you’d think?...

MTV Films, a division of Viacom Inc. today announced that it has acquired the feature film rights to Marc Ecko’s Getting Up: Contents Under Pressure, the highly anticipated videogame from Atari and Marc Ecko Enterprises. The videogame is scheduled for a February 2006 release for the PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system, for the Xbox® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and for Windows. Marc Ecko’s Getting Up: Contents Under Pressure adaptation as a feature project promises to be an homage to graffiti’s rich culture....

AMC has announced that NOS4A2 season 2 will premiere on Monday, June 1st. The full season is also set to simulcast on BBC America. In addition, the network released first-look photos from the series’ second season, which stars Emmy-nominated actor and producer Zachary Quinto. Films about talking dogs are nothing new, and neither are films incorporating those talking dogs into a live-action world. But a film where an abandoned dog takes revenge on its former owner?
