In a story from The Hollywood Reporter, Robert Culp, who gained stardom acting opposite Bill Cosby in the 1960s NBC series I Spy, died Wednesday. He collapsed outside his Hollywood home. The actor was 79. According to his manager, Hillard Elkins, the actor was on a walk when he fell. He was immediately taken to a hospital and pronounced dead just before noon. He was a crack hockey player who had the whole world in front of him. Then, after being in an auto accident, Pratt’s life is forever altered and he cannot function without the aid of notes. It was revealed at Comic-Con during a panel that Mark Hamill was not the first choice to portray the Joker on Batman: The Animated Series. It’s pretty hard to think of Batman: The Animated Series and not think about Mark Hamill’s over the top portrayal of the villainous Joker and to many, he is the only Joker that they know. The Arkham video games had a major selling point when they were able to advertise that Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill voiced the characters in the game and if you’ve never played Arkham Asylum, you’re missing out on one of Hamill’s best performances of his career....

Matt Groening’s new Netflix series Disenchantment will premiere, in full, on August 17th. Walt Disney Studios has released a collection of princess movies in live-action and animation for the past century, constantly adding new heroines to its wonderful world of Disney leading ladies. But with some of these movies comes a sequel or two that rarely gets recognition and almost never gets as much praise or same theatrical release as the original. Disney might’ve been inspired from the Brothers Grimm and Hans Christian Anderson, among other ancient fairy tales, to tell its version of princess stories, but its sequels show the company is more than capable of coming up with original adventures for its women protagonists....
Netflix, Inc., the world’s largest online movie rental service, today announced agreements with five global consumer electronics companies that will introduce Netflix ready devices later this year. The partners include Funai, which distributes the Philips, Magnavox, Sylvania and Emerson brands in the United States, Panasonic, Sanyo, Sharp and Toshiba. Each company will introduce Blu-ray disc players or digital televisions that will instantly stream thousands of movies and TV episodes from Netflix that can be watched instantly in the comfort of the living room....
