Radical Publishing is proud to announce that Disney has acquired the film adaptation of Oblivion, based on Radical Publishing’s illustrated novel created by Tron: Legacy director, Joseph Kosinski, written by Rex Mundi creator, Arvid Nelson, and with illustrations by Andrée Wallin. Oblivion will be directed by Joseph Kosinski and will be produced by Radical’s President and Publisher, Barry Levine, and Kosinski. Radical Studios’ Executive Vice President Jesse Berger is signed on as Executive Producer....

Governor Linda Lingle today announced that Hawaii will be the location for Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, the fourth installment of the highly successful Walt Disney Pictures’ action adventure film series from Jerry Bruckheimer Films. The Walt Disney Company President and CEO Bob Iger met with Governor Lingle on Friday to share the news that the islands of Kauai and Oahu will be sites for the production of the feature film, which will begin shooting this summer and is slated to be released in summer 2011....

There has been a lot of conflict about the potential of a second season of Moon Knight coming to Disney+, which is quite ironic considering the conflict between its lead characters, Marc Spector and Steven Grant. Following the season finale, which included a post-credit scene that suggested there was a lot more to tell in the story of Moon Knight, both Oscar Isaac and director Mohamed Diab seemed to shoot down the idea of there being any plans for more Moon Knight....

Contrary to earlier rumors that Lionsgate wanted a more family friendly cut of Punisher: War Zone, the movie about Marvel’s deadly vigilante has received an R-Rating. Comic Book Movie confirms that director Lexi Alexander’s final cut still has all of the violence, language and some drug use that fans of the character would expect. There was, at one point, rumors going around that the studio was pushing for a less violent cut, hoping to get a PG-13 rating out of the film....

Director Rob Zombie has set up his new project The Lords of Salem with Alliance Films and Haunted House pictures. Principal photography will begin this spring, with Paranormal Activity’s Jason Blum, Oren Peli, and Steven Schneider on board to produce. Ken Leung, who played the abrasive, sarcastic medium Miles Straume beginning in LOST’s fourth season, recently revealed that series nearly had a “True-Detective-style spinoff” series. The ABC television series ran for six seasons, beginning on September 22, 2004. Although LOST ended almost two decades ago, the series still remains in the public consciousness due to its continued impact on the medium of television and how stories are told. Leung, who has been in the acting profession for 24 years (making his debut in 1998’s Rush Hour as the villain opposite Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker), has recently been on a press tour for Industry Season 2....
