We reported last week that Michael Bay’s upcoming robots in disguise sequel is gearing up for a production start on July 4 and now it seems two more cast members may be added. /Film has dug up some obscure interviews with actors Patrick Dempsey and Jamie Kennedy which reveal they both could have roles in Transformers 3. It seems that Dempsey gave an interview to a Brazilian website called BOH where he dropped the following tidbit, according to the Google translation, when asked about his new film projects....

StarTrek.com and Paramount+ announced today that a new man would be stepping into the iconic uniform of James Tiberius Kirk, initially played by William Shatner in Star Trek: The Original Series. James T. Kirk 2.0 Edition is none other than long-time Star Trek Universe fan Paul Wesley, who will be playing the iconic captain of the U.S.S. Enterprise on Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. Wesley is best known for starring as Stefan Salvatore in eight seasons of the supernatural drama series The Vampire Diaries on CW, one of the network’s most-watched shows....

Mike Colter’s Power Man teaches a group of criminals some manners in a new clip from Luke Cage, which debuts the first season in its entirety on Friday, September 30. The scene features Luke Cage interrupting a robbery, telling these would-be thieves that their tone is disrespectful. Unfortunately for these crooks, they aren’t aware that Luke Cage has impenetrable skin and incredible powers, which they learn quite quickly. The series is the third in the Marvel Netflix lineup, following the releases of Daredevil and Jessica Jones, leading up to the future release of Iron Fist, which is currently in production, and ultimately, The Defenders....

Back in January, it was announced that Gerard Butler had attached himself to the fact-based drama Machine Gun Preacher, which is set to be directed by Marc Forster. Deadline, who first broke that news, are now reporting that both Michelle Monaghan and Michael Shannon have become attached to the project as well. And that shooting will begin this summer. Gerard Butler will play real-life hero Sam Childers, a reformed criminal turned crusader who enters Africa’s most dangerous battle zones to rescue children from the clutches of rebel warlords....

Marcus Raboy is set to direct Janky Promoters, the latest comedy from writer-actor-producer Ice Cube. Mike Epps and Terry Crews also have joined the cast, according to The Hollywood Reporter. All four are alumni of the 2002 comedy “Friday After Next,” which Raboy directed and Cube wrote and starred in with Epps and Crews. Janky Promoters follows the shenanigans of a pair of shady concert promoters (Cube and Epps), self-described “Modesto’s finest,” who get in over their heads when they get a shot at booking a big-name hip-hop act (an actual rapper whose deal was closing Tuesday)....

Marvel Studios President, Kevin Feige, has revealed that he and the rest of the wizards at Marvel are currently planning out the next decade of the MCU. Appearing at CinemaCon 2022, which is now underway in Las Vegas, Feige revealed (via Collider) that he is currently at a retreat where the studio will work hard at planning out the events and projects taking place Marvel Cinematic Universe all the way up to 2032....

The first episode of Disney+ original series Moon Knight, which is set in the MCU’s shared continuity, was released with a massively positive reception. Fans seemingly love Oscar Isaac’s troubled and mysterious yet intriguing take on the cult vigilante. The show also introduced Ethan Hawke’s Arthur Harrow, who already lets the audience know of his evil and corrupt nature.
