HBO Max has released the first trailer for Ridley Scott’s Raised by Wolves. The footage looks very much like it came from the iconic sci-fi director, which should not come as a surprise to anyone who is familiar with his work. The sci-fi project marks Scott’s television series directorial debut for American audiences and HBO Max has announced when we’ll finally be able to see it, which, thankfully, isn’t too far away....

Moving On premiered in September at Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). It follows the relationship between two estranged friends, played by Academy Award Winner Jane Fonda and Academy Award Nominee Lily Tomlin. Aside from Fonda and Tomlin, the cast also includes Malcolm McDowell, and Richard Roundtree. In the US, the film is distributed by Roadside Attractions, which confirmed that the film will be released on March 17, 2023. The film centers on two old friends reconnecting at a funeral and deciding to take revenge on the widower who had taken advantage of them many years earlier....

According to the newsletter What I’m Hearing, the duo will team up to produce a film based on the character Parker, a meticulous thief who serves as the primary character of Donald Westlake’s novel. The character has headed twenty-four of the twenty-eight novels penned by the writer, published under his pen name Richard Stark; which ironically fits so well with the idea of Downey essaying Parker’s role on-screen. Parker is described as a ruthless criminal who possesses no redeeming qualities and does not abide by any ethical principle besides being loyal to his partners in crime....

Even after a tearful apology video and an entire vlog dedicated to suicide, 22-year old vlogger Logan Paul can’t seem to catch a break. In a new interview, Paul reveals that he’s hurt by people telling him he should commit suicide, after posting an incredibly insensitive video on YouTube of a dead man hanging from a tree in Japan’s Suicide Forest this past December. The video was quickly taken down by Paul himself, but it had already amassed millions of views and is still pretty easy to find....

Carlos Muñoz, veteran location scout for Netflix’s Narcos, was shot and killed last week in a rural area of Mexico outside of Mexico City. The circumstances surrounding the death of 37-year old Muñoz remain a mystery at this time, but the area where he was scouting is apparently a notoriously violent area near the borders of Hidalgo state. In fact, the remote area is said to have the highest murder rate in Mexico....

NBC has given a 10-episode straight-to-series order for Emerald City, a reimagining of the classic L. Frank Baum books that have inspired everything from The Wizard of Oz to Wicked. NBC has renewed The Apprentice for mid-season with a creative twist. Mindy Kaling’s series on Netflix is about to drop its season 3 premiere later this summer and has already been renewed for a fourth and final season. Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige is notorious for his strict process regarding spoilers, even if the MCU leader admits it’s impossible to stop them. The Paramount+ revival of the 1987 psychological thriller Fatal Attraction finally has its premiere date, according to The Wrap. The eight-episode miniseries will debut in the U.S. on April 30, beginning with the first two episodes. The international premiere is set for the following day in the U.K., Australia, Latin America, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, and France, with South Korea’s premiere date to be announced soon.
