ABC Television and Harpo Films announced today that Emmy Award-winning actor Michael Imperioli (The Sopranos) and Academy Award-winning actress Ellen Burstyn (The Fountain, The Exorcist) will star in the two-hour television event motion picture, Oprah Winfrey Presents: Mitch Albom’s For One More Day, based on Albom’s bestselling book, “For One More Day.” Principal photography begins today on location in Norwalk, CT, as well as other locations in Connecticut and New York....

A new synopsis for upcoming comic book movie outing, The Batman, has emerged and hints at a life-long tie between Robert Pattinson’s Bruce Wayne and Zoë Kravitz’s Selina Kyle. Alongside the latest trailer, it’s looking more like much of The Batman will center on the relationship between the Bat and the Cat as they battle to save Gotham City from the onslaught of The Riddler. Netflix is bringing subscribers even more true crime documentaries to check out in 2021, starting with an extensive four-part miniseries covering infamous murderer Richard “The Night Stalker” Ramirez. Called Night Stalker: The Hunt For a Serial Killer will tell the story of one of the most vicious serial killers in American history, a real-life boogeyman that brought California to a standstill. The series will arrive on Jan. 13, and the streamer has released the official trailer ahead of its release....

With the advent of 3-D in theaters, it was only a matter of time before the format came to home video and Blu-ray, and Panasonic is offering a way to make it happen. According to Tech-On, Panasonic has submitted a proposal to the Blu-ray Disc Association to create the standard for Blu-ray to move into the 3-D world. The format would store these images on BD in a two-channel format, with a separate image for the left eye and right eye, in HD with a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels....

One of the most famous names in all literature is Pinocchio, a wooden puppet brought to life who wishes to become a real boy. Created by Italian author Carlo Collodi and first being published in serial form in Italian magazines in 1881, the character made his first big appearance in the children’s story The Adventures of Pinocchio in 1883. In a story from The Hollywood Reporter, Buena Vista Home Entertainment reports that according to “the U.K. DVD record books” the title is the fastest selling disc of all time.
