Perfectly casting a character like Jack Reacher is no easy task, but many fans say the Reacher team has done just that. Alan Ritchson plays the new incarnation of Jack in the Prime Video series Reacher, which debuted on the streaming service earlier this month. It looks like we might be seeing Avan Jogia returning as Leon S. Kennedy to save the president’s daughter if Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City ends up getting a sequel. Set to premiere in theaters this month, the new movie serves as a fresh reboot of the Resident Evil series, bearing no connection to the prior installments starring Milla Jovovich. Richard Gere has signed on for two film projects: Avalon Pictures’ Amelia Earhart biopic, Amelia, and Millennium Films’ cop drama Brooklyn’s Finest. According to Variety, in Amelia, Gere will star opposite Hilary Swank. The film chronicles the rocky relationship between the famed aviator and her husband, publisher George Putnam. Shooting starts later this month in Toronto, Nova Scotia and South Africa. Brooklyn’s Finest revolves around three unconnected Brooklyn cops who wind up at the same deadly location, despite vastly different career paths....
Universal Pictures brought their comedy Little Fockers to theaters yesterday and, according to The Hollywood Reporter, the Ben Stiller sequel took in between $7.2 and $7.3 million to lead the daily Wednesday box office. Paramount also rolled out its Western remake True Grit in theaters, which took third place on Wednesday with an estimated $5.6 million, just behind Tron: Legacy’s $5.7 million take. True Grit did have a disadvantage in theater count, opening on just 3,047 screens while Little Fockers premiered on 3,536 screens....

Megan Fox seems to be angling to set herself up as the Geek Queen of Hollywood, moving from staring roles in Transformers and Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen to two other comic adaptations - Warner Brother’s Jonah Hex and Fox Atomic’s Fathom. Michael Ealy has joined the cast of J.J. Abrams and J.H. Wyman’s untitled sci-fi crime drama as an android police officer.
