One of Us Is Lying, the young adult drama series based on the novel of the same name by Karen M. McManus, was canceled from Peacock, according to a new report from Deadline. Although the novel version remained on the New York Times bestseller list for more than 130 weeks, the TV series lasted two seasons on the TV channel. Back in May 2020, amid the pandemic and the world being shut down, Rick Riordan announced that he wasn’t quite done with the Percy Jackson series just yet. Riordan first released book one, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, The Lightning Thief on June 28th, 2005, and from there, there have been four followup series. Great news Predator fans, the upcoming prequel, Prey, has now been officially given an R rating by the MPA. Prey has achieved the hoped-for “Restricted” rating thanks to its “strong bloody violence,” meaning that the iconic alien hunter will once again bring its merciless tactics and spine-ripping antics to Hulu this August. The R rating puts Prey alongside the likes of the first Predator, Predator 2, Predators, and The Predator, and distances the prequel from the much-maligned Alien versus Predator franchise....

MGM is changing the villains in its Red Dawn remake from Chinese to North Korean to keep friendly with the rising Asian superpower, including its lucrative box office for American movies. Filmed in 2009, Red Dawn centers on a World War III type invasion onto American soil of a foreign country. The original pitted the U.S. against the Soviets, the remake filmed the invaders as the Chinese. “We were initially very reluctant to make any changes,” said Tripp Vinson, one of the movie’s producers....
