Lonely Planet is a new Netflix film from writer and producer Susannah Grant, who will write and direct the project, confirmed to star Liam Hemsworth and Laura Dern. Grant is known for producing, writing, and directing various key feminist works, including tense dramas that tackle tough subjects, tough and witty characters, or both. Grant is highly accomplished in the industry and deserving of appreciation and commendation for her work on projects like the classic legal drama Erin Brockovich, starring Julia Roberts as a legal assistant....

Arrow in the Head has confirmed with Saw IV director, Darren Bousman, that Lyriq Bent will reprise his Saw III role as Rigg in the upcoming horror sequel. Bousman said to the site: “Yes Lyriq Bent is in fact returning… He is a great actor - and am very excited to be working with him yet again - on part IV. The story is much darker - more f**ked up - and much more psychological!...

Amsterdam is quickly becoming one of the year’s most anticipated movies, with a big reason being the star-studded cast. Fans of The Sandman are still on tenterhooks wondering whether the series will be back for a second season. While there have been some encouraging whispers recently, including some updates from the series VFX supervisor on the work already done for the next season, there has still been no official word from Netflix, not even to the show’s creator, Neil Gaiman. The author, who has championed making The Sandman the best adaptation it could be from the start, recently responded to comments on Twitter to reveal that it is a lengthy process to get a show like The Sandman renewed....

Author Neil Gaiman has been hired by Chinese producer Jizhong Zhang to adapt the classic novel Journey to the West by Wu Cheng’en into a big-budget 3D movie. The story centers on The Monkey King, who is accompanied by a Chinese monk, a pig spirit and a fish spirit, to India where he seeks out the ancient texts of Buddha for enlightenment. Journey to the West will be an English-language production, although it will be shot in China and use a blend of Western and Eastern actors....

Netflix is going full throttle with its Christmas movie releases, and today’s release marks Freddie Prinze Jr.’s return to acting after 20 years. Christmas with You, directed by Argentinian director Gabriela Tagliavini, known for Without Men, Perfect Lover, and Ladies’ Night, Christmas with You tells the story of Angelina, played by Aimee Garcia (best known for CBS’ Vegas, Showtime’s Dexter, and Fox/Netflix’s Lucifer), a pop star who’s been at the top for years, but is now feeling stuck in her career and is looking for inspiration....

Netflix has finally released the first full trailer for Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, giving viewers some more insight into the origin story of Sabrina on the small screen. The first teaser dealt with more of the horror elements, while the new trailer has a little bit of everything, including a lot of humor to offset some truly dark imagery. That darkness does a good job at adapting the source material and bringing it to life....
