Peacock’s upcoming Queer as Folk will feature a warning card when it begins streaming on June 9th. This follows last week’s tragic shooting at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, where 19 young children and two adults were killed (the shooter also died). The 2022 reimagination, based on Russell T Davies’ original Showtime series, follows the aftermath of a New Orleans LGBTQ nightclub shooting. In an interview with the Hollywood Reporter, creator Stephen Dunn cited the 2016 Pulse Nightclub shooting in Orlando, Florida, as inspiration for the upcoming show....

TNT is returning to the world of its hit movie franchise The Librarian with a brand new series from Electric Entertainment and executive producers Dean Devlin, John Rogers and Marc Roskin. Rebecca Romijn (X-Men, TNT’s King & Maxwell) is set to lead the cast of the new series, which is entitled The Librarians. Noah Wyle (Falling Skies, ER) will executive-produce and play a recurring role in the series, reprising his role as Flynn Carsen from TNT’s movie trilogy....

Open Road Films has released two new photos from Red Dawn, director Dan Bradley’s remake of the 1980s classic. Young stars Chris Hemsworth, Josh Hutcherson, and Josh Peck are seen preparing for the invading North Korean soldiers in these new shots for the upcoming remake. Movie Picture Any time you can look on your shelves and find a movie from Psycho Films, it’s really got to give you pause. Okay, I’m overstating. The Last Supper actually comes to us from Saiko Films, which is merely a sound-alike, but still, a pretty nifty one at that. And what Saiko Films brings our way is a story that should be shockingly derivative–namely, a cannibalistic doctor. Yes, I know, there’s lots of eye-rolling and catcalls that feature dear old Hannibal Lecter at this point but don’t let that scare you off....

TNT has ordered a fourth season of its hit drama Rizzoli & Isles, from Warner Horizon Television. The series has drawn 7.1 million viewers in its new Tuesday 9 p.m. timeslot and ranks as summer’s #1 returning scripted series on basic cable. TNT has ordered 15 episodes of Rizzoli & Isles, with the fourth season slated for 2013. Angie Harmon and Sasha Alexander star in Rizzoli & Isles, which was developed for television by executive producer Janet Tamaro from characters created by best-selling crime novelist Tess Gerritsen....

Mystery Science Theater 3000 has been off the air for more than 15 years, but new episodes are on the way soon! Fans of the show are eagerly awaiting the arrival the revival on Netflix, but for now, creator Joel Hodgson has given us a bit of a gift. The long-lost but recently uncovered first two episodes of the show have surfaced and are now available online. The show aired and gained popularity on Comedy Central and later on SyFy, but Mystery Science Theater 3000 originally started out as a public access TV show in Minnesota....

Lori Loughlin is not looking forward to going to prison during the current public health crisis. A source close to the actress says that she is “terrified.” Last week, a judge approved Loughlin and husband Mossimo Giannulli’s plea deal. The deal finds the 56-year old Full House star set to serve two months in prison, along with a $150,000 fine and 150 hours of community service. Giannulli, 57, will serve five months in prison, a $250,000 fine, and 250 hours of service....

Mad Max: Fury Road is gearing up to start shooting in early 2012, although it seems they won’t be filming in the city of Broken Hill in New South Wales, Australia. The production company Kennedy Miller Mitchell (KMM) reportedly pulled out because the recent heavy rains in the area have affected the arid landscape which director George Miller wanted to utilize. In just over a month since it debuted, Netflix’s Stranger Things has become a massive hit. Fans have already been clamoring for Season 2 of this supernatural mystery series, which was essentially confirmed by a Netflix executive recently, although an official announcement has yet to be made. It has been fairly clear to the majority of fans that the Marvel Cinematic Universe has had a pretty bumpy ride lately, both critically and commercially. Many have complained about Phase 4 in particular, and how the films and Disney+ series therein haven’t put forth the best quality since the start of this new phase. According to Cinemascore, Thor: Love and Thunder and Eternals received the lowest scores in the franchise, with one getting a B+ and the other getting a B (via The Direct)....

Megan Gale confirmed for us here that she had been cast as Wonder Woman in George Miller’s Justice League of America. She has now told the Sydney Morning Herald that as excited as she is about the film, she was grateful for the film’s delay. “We were due to go into production in February, which freaked me out a bit … the strike has given me more time to prepare,” Gale said....

Megan Mullally has joined the cast of Starz’s very popular sitcom Party Down, replacing Jane Lynch who moved onto Fox’s Glee this year. Lethal Weapon star Mel Gibson has offered another promising update on the development of the long-awaited action sequel, Lethal Weapon 5. Appearing at a mysterious event attended by We Got This Covered, the actor, who will also now direct Lethal Weapon 5 following the death of Richard Donner, re-confirmed that the follow-up is still in “active development,” and that the screenplay is currently being worked on. Offering further details regarding the direction of the screenplay, Gibson said that the story of Lethal Weapon 5 will maintain what Richard Donner had already been working on, with the beloved filmmaker remaining “the narrative driving force....

TBS has renewed its popular new sitcom Men at Work for a second season. Currently airing Thursdays at 10 p.m. (ET/PT), the comedy ranks as one of basic cable’s Top 5 new series with adults 18-49 for the quarter. TBS has ordered 10 episodes for the second season, which is slated to launch in 2013. “Men at Work is a strong addition to the TBS lineup and has worked extremely well paired with The Big Bang Theory,” said Michael Wright, president, head of programming for TBS, TNT and Turner Classic Movies (TCM)....

One of the things that I’m liking about Midnight, Texas so far is the lack of downtime for the characters. At the beginning of episode two, they jumped right into dealing with Bobo (Dylan Bruce) getting arrested from the end of episode one. Now with episode three, Lemuel, Unchained, we are given a brief scene to show that Manfred (Francois Arnaud) and Creek (Sarah Ramos) have taken that kiss at the end of last week and turned it into a secret relationship so her overprotective father doesn’t find out about them....

Ahead of the Mr. Robot Season 3 premiere, debuting Wednesday, October 11 at 10 PM ET, the USA Network has released a new Season 3 trailer. The network has also released an all-new poster series featuring cast members Rami Malek (Elliot Alderson), Christian Slater (Mr. Robot), Carly Chaikin (Darlene), Portia Doubleday (Angela Moss) and Grace Gummer (Dominique DiPierro). The trailer features plenty of intriguing new footage that will keep fans on their toes before the new season arrives....

One of the films that had its world premiere this week at the Sundance Film Festival is My Animal, a new werewolf story from Jacqueline Castel. The Sundance website describes the film as “a harrowing family drama, a steamy teen romance, and a classic monster tale” with an undercurrent of themes of otherness and self-acceptance. Starring in the film is Bobbi Salvör Menuez (Under the Silver Lake) and Amandla Stenberg (Bodies Bodies Bodies)....
